The "second one" is part of the first (there is only one). It's a flashback continuing from the comment in the panel before. It not easy to follow and took me a minute to figure out how it was related also.

it took me a few times to figure out, but once i figured it out i was like, "hmmmmmm ok"..

its not horrible comic
