Stop it with those threads that simply list names of weapons that would pretty much work the exact same way as weapons that are already in the game.
Try thinking of something that'd fill a role in the game that no other weapon fills out instead of listing up guns you think look cool.

Also say WHY you think those weapon HAS TO be in the game.

As it is now, this thread contributes absolutely nothing short of wasting everyones time.

I requested these because I have NOT seen most of the guns listed in video games. I'm doing exactly what this section of the KF forums ask you to do, to give ideas and suggestions. The mods never made a rule saying you cannot request weapons and many other users do it. There is no reason to shoot me down for making a thread saying what I would like to see in the game.

I can say stuff too, but why they need to be added is more important.

A list of guns really isn't the best way to get an IDEA or SUGGESTION across.

A list of weapons is not a suggestion. Why don't you say why exactly a weapon should be added? Everyone can post a list of weapons, but that doesn't make a good suggestion.

No, you copypaste a list with random digits and letters (for normal mortals that are no gun nuts) in our face.
We even have to look up what the hell most of that stuff is.
If anyone even bothers.

I clicked 2 links and saw 2 assault rifles that looked like they do exactly what the SCAR/AK already do and I guess most of the stuff that isn't linked is the same so why the hell would those be needed?
If the description is just 'It's like the SCAR but looks different' then the gun suggestion probably sucks.

The mods never made a rule saying you cannot request weapons and many other users do it.

Yeah, try reading some other gun suggestion threads.
Notice how they describe how that gun works and why it would fit into the game? No? Well look harder.

Didnt the USAS become absolete with the aa12. OH well those classes have good weapons now that really make the class stand out. Probably need to tweak out weapons and perks first before adding something completely new in. Theres a lot of unbalance perks\weapons threads popping up.

First of all I am all for adding as much as possible that can enhance the experience of the game, new weapons are always interesting.. However...

The only way it would be realistic to add a lot of weapons to this game or any game for that matter, many with similar characteristics to those already in the game would be if TWI created a system where all weapons where generic, but the skins of the weapons could be changed.
Skins could then be made by modders if new variations of the weapons in the game where needed.
New weapons could then be added through mutators, that could be whitelisted if the weapons where not unbalancing to the game.
The weapons should properly be named for type and caliber to distinguish the different types.
Example the Bullpup could be called "Assault rifle [5.56NATO/Bullpup]",
The AK would then be called "Assault rifle [7.62ComBloc]",
and the SCAR would be called "Battle rifle [7.62NATO]" and so forth with other weapons.
Damage from weapons could be based on a type and caliber, something that could be made pretty easily.
The system could be made simpler or more complex depending on how much variation TWI would want modders to give each new weapon, for example sights might be unalterable and calibers could be made more generic.

On the subject of custom skins: Don't you end up with people modding line sights to their guns? And since other players don't see custom skins then no one could tell.

Or TWI makes them and it would be a waste of their time.

There would be several options to solve that:
A: All new skins would have to be tested by someone, possibly community members chosen by TWI and those that are broken/cheesy/poorly made or had improved sights over the original model would not be whitelisted.
A SCAR clone such as the FN-FAL or a HK G3 could have iron sights instead of reflex but not laser sight as an example.

B: Sights cant be changed on the skins, and the model is "sliced" removing upper parts to make room for the sights used by the official model.
It would be up to the modders to make sure that the gun is aligned with the sights in this case.

C: Modded weapons are not whitelisted, and TWI would add any they like to the game at some point, maybe as a "you get a assault rifle with random skin when spawning as lvl5+" package.

Because the map whitelist is so good right now... Community testing, it would seem, has been axed since the whitelist testing back during the summer. And why would TWI take the time to test all the skins to make sure they are ok and at what point does it change from ok to broken.

I mean you can actually make a long line (like from the barrel) extend out twenty feet to give you a better idea where specs are. Also gun skins to remove most of the gun to create a easier to use sight (ie the gun doesn't take up as much screen)

As already mentioned in other threads it is far from needed to have other models of guns and TWI taking time to do this is a waste of time when they could be working on actual content for KF or RO.

XM500 rifle is the most recent creation of famous American Barrett Firearms co. This rifle, first shown in 2006, is intended to provide lighter and more compact alternative to popular Barrett M82 "Light fifty" rifle, which is widely used by military and law enforcement forces around the world. The new weapon will provide better accuracy (because of stationary, non-recoiling barrel) and same range as Light Fifty, while being lighter and significantly shorter, thanks to its bullpup layout. According to available information, this rifle is developed primarily for US Armed forces, and is still in development / prototype stage. Barrett XM500 long range sniper / anti-material rifle is a gas operated, semiautomatic rifle. Gas chamber and piston are located above the barrel. Barrel is locked using rotary bolt. Stock is of bullpup layout and made of metal, with rubber buttplate. Rifle is fitted with detachable lightweight bipods, adjustable for height. There are no open sights as of now, but rifle is fitted with integral Picatinny rail on the top of the receiver, so any type of sights can be installed using appropriate mounting interfaces.

This would be my choice CTRL+C/CTR+V FTW
I would preffer this long range sniper to the M14, but thats just me.

That's right, ctrl+c and ctrl+v some weapon data while completely ignoring the game and its mechanics/weapons there already are in there/the tremendous waste of development time just to 're-skin' an already existing gun is really helpful and completely 'FTW'.

First off, I was talking about replacing a current wepon. So taking the Xbow out of the game and putting in a new long range weapon. Not having 2 long range options.
I did think it through. You would lose the pen, gain a clip (simmilar to M14). However, It would have the power to do the same as the Xbow, thus 1/2 the clip size of the M14 but double the power. There is a reason I choose it. I was just waiting for ppl to respond..lol
