THAT'S NOT ACCESIBLE FOR KIDS.

Vote: Yes. BUT.. only if there is a slight chance that it happens.

Nop.
Rambo can't lose his weapons! :IS2:
&
Too hard for kids :IS2:

I would like too
+1

My objection is nothing to do with it being "too hard" and everything to do with it being a frustrating, pointless feature which brings little more to the game than "oh wow, I can shoot someone's gun out of their hands. COOL!"

This is a "realistic" feature from RO1, and we lost it. Why ? Because casual player just want to run & run and don't want to be stoped by "realistics" things.

Damn! :IS2:

Why made our soldier perfect? He got shoot in hand, so his gun probably falls, end.
RO2' soldiers are faster, accurate, and they don't fell the pain...

'twas a fun little feature, but for some reason everybody whines when games have random elements like this or jamming.
I support reimplementing it, but with a less chance of it happening than RoOst.

This feature would make taking out guys in buildings more fun. Bullet proof bunkers would also be better balanced. I could agitate and disarm enemies while in their blind-spots.

I would challenge the assumption that its realistic. And Im not a casual run and gun player, and I still didn't like the feature.

Im not whining. I genuinely thought it brought nothing good to the gameplay.

HOWEVER, I would support a well implemented weapon jamming system. It would also be a great way to make the rare prototype weapons less powerful, by having them more prone to stoppages...

I agree. Why was this feature removed? The scramble as you hit the dirt under the smoke and looked all around for your gun was exhilarating.

...then when you found it, you couldn't pick it up because it was bugged under the terrain. Then you had to pick up all the ammunition which had somehow been shot out of your bandolier. I never found it exhilarating, only frustrating.

It was also frustrating whenever I was the one doing the shooting - especially when you shoot a sniper's rifle out of his hands, and as you're bolting yours, his pistol instantly appears in his hands instead, and he suddenly has the advantage due to a poorly thought out game mechanic. For those crying realism, how exactly is that a good representation of real life?

I was personally OK with it. It could get alittle tiring though, especially in DH playing a a British rifleman. Lose your rifle, no back up pistol. Your screwed.

What in the name of all that is good and holy gave you people the impression that having your gun shot would force you to drop it, or that being shot in the arm instantly forces you to drop anything you were carrying?

It's not realistic, it's retarded. You can't shoot the gun out of someone's hands unless it's a bad western.

Get a friend to shoot your hand whilst you're holding something. ;)
... The game went as far as to include nutshots, so why not this?

frustrating, pointless feature which brings little more to the game than "oh wow, I can shoot someone's gun out of their hands. COOL!"

Very, very shallow observation.

Who said anything about shooting the firearm/weapon itself, or the holder's arm? (Not including the hand)
Not implying that those wouldn't do anything, of course.

would be better if your gun got hit and it damaged the sights or warped the barrel slightly, a recever hit could make it hard to reload as you would need to force the clip in.

I think hitting the enemy's hand only for him to shoot you and kill you is A LOT more frustrating than having your weapon shot out of your hand once in a while.

maybe make it so that it will only drop if the bullet either hits the palm or the gun itself.

personally i loved that in Ost Front (except how you'd lose your ammo too). I was really tense runing down a street and haveing a sniper bullet throw the gun out of your hand; i'd sprint to cover and be armed with nothing but my handgun.

my heart would begin to beat as i would contemplate either running to my gun or finding another way around...

my brother was in fallujah during the battle in 2004. They were running across this street when his fireteam leader's gun was hit by an ak bullet from sniper. The force was so tremendous that it knocked the weapon out of his hand and tore his right index finger, which was in the trigger guard, off his hand; he said it was ripped off from middle joint and dangling by a sinew.

So if the problem is just that.

You can't shoot the gun out of someone's hands unless it's a bad western.
Oh. REALLY ?
Such a simplistic comment without any studies or minimal research behind it. It's not happen often, but it's not impossible like you think...

During the history of human fights and violences, how many were bad western?

Don't know how you see the war, maybe like little toys fighting around.
