I'd just be happy if they allowed you to cancel the reload and switch weapons. Its so frustrating being halfway through reloading, seeing somebody needs healing and being able to do nothing about it til the reload animation is finished. Its particularly bad with the schlic..diz.. gun-thing as a medic player.

Someone worked hard to create those animations..learn to appreciate them and time your reloads.

yeah that gun reloads pretty slow.

My problem with the reload animations is that the character pulls the mag out of the gun than inserts a new mag which eats time. Instead of letting the mag drop out of the gun and having a fresh mag in hand before the empty mag hits the ground. These characters that we play as are mainly law enforcement or soldiers with some weapons training.

Edit: well not animations but reload speed.

It's probably done, in some degree, for balance.
But also keep in mind that the Expert reloads will be much faster. They're avoid doing stuff like that.

While it's a nice feature, in an arcade game like this where your goal is to empty rounds as much as you can, I can't see it being a useful feature unless HoE takes away HUD or something.

I loved it in RO2 but it fit that game well because ammunition real estate was a BIG factor.

Works fine in Shadow Warrior..can't really get more "arcade" than that..:D

It's just a fun factor thing, doesn't need to serve any purpose. I just love watching quality animations, and I know I'm not alone.

I'm aware of that cheers...

Time reloads, around what exactly? I can't look into the future to see a squad member getting injured. I don't mind that the reload takes ages, I just want to be able to cancel the animation and switch to a different weapon. There's nothing worse than seeing a squad member getting murdered in front of you, and not being able to do anything but dance around like an idiot waiting for the animation to finish.

You should should really bug Tripwire about getting some visible legs. It might be a bit weird for you otherwise.

Actually, is OR support confirmed? Pretty cool.

They haven't confirmed anything yet for Oculus Rift, but in the worst case scenario there will be third party support.

OR will be definitely the best way to play KF2.

Most immersive? Maybe. Probably not the best if you're planning to play on higher difficulties though. I can't imagine how bad aiming is with OR.

What are you talking about, you can't use mouse and keyboard in VR??

If you have in-game head movement then you have 2 degrees of aiming input rather than the more simplistic 1, i.e. you have to line both the gun and your head up to aim reliably
if they opt to not use the head movement (more boring) then yeah it would be closer to aiming with just a screen and one degree of movement with the mouse but since I haven't used an Oculus with an FPS game yet I can't envision what the difference would be

Yikes! Multiple reload animations and now multiple types of weapon checks! This game is gun porn! :D

It's all this attention to detail that makes such a difference.

each weapon has more then one also ;)

You just made the wait even more unbearable. :D
All badass, I hope. It looks like I'll never enjoy shooting in a video game as much as in killing floor 2

Out of nowhere Munk shows up and is answering a lot of the questions in these threads. It's probably because of the late / no video for January but you're awesome man.
