https://thefiringline.com/forums/sho....php?p=5424409First off consider the requirement facts from the engineering files from the government weapons production efforts.
1. acceptance accuracy for 1903 Springfield was 3" at 100 yards.
2. acceptance accuracy for M1 Garand was 5" at 100 yards.
3. acceptance accuracy for M14 was 5.5" at 100 yards and was waivered continually as it could not meet that.
4. acceptance accuracy for M16 series is 4.5" at 100 yards.
Assuming the same for AK as M16 because:

(you can get much lower with a random civi-grade AK pattern rifle)
AK has comparatively massive recoil for the same 2 shot kill(but worse, since it does even less damage going by numbers on wiki), accuracy that makes vital shots/headshots up to rng, along with the problem at mid/long range, or even close range(due to it being zeroed at 100m minimum, some shots can feel weird around 50m) from slow muzzle velocity.
30 round magazine doesn't make up for it(also comes with downside of easily ending up with multiple half-empty magazines).
Current M16 is straight out of COD, can be spammed at almost any practical engagement distance on full auto and kill a guy or two(generally no more than two because n00bs spammed entire mag on one guy).
Extremely quick follow-up shots and unrealistic amount of accuracy makes it somewhat better than marksman rifles at getting those long range kills(everything is 1 shot headshot, and M16 is zeroed at 200m by default with very fast muzzle velocity, so very little compensation for trajectory is needed at most ranges).
If M16 recoil isn't getting increased(because 3-prong flash hider is just a flash hider while A2's flash hider actually directs some gas upward to counter muzzle rise), then at least nerf its accuracy slightly.
*Someone is going to tell me AK can spray down more people, while forgetting the fact that high recoil makes AK less likely to hit even 1 guy on full auto past 20m.
For sake of game balancing and realism, make M16 and M14 both 3moa(because making M14 realistic would offend fanboys and make it somewhat less relevant) to counteract the nerf to intermediate cartridge damage unintentionally nerfing AK to the ground.
*before people try to tell me those rifles can do 1-2moa, those are either pure mechanical accuracy or cherrypicked groups from bench shooting and/or with most likely higher grade parts and tighter twist rate than old military-grade m16.
This will make marksman rifles finally useful(since RS2 is mostly close/mid range engagement; I don't think there's even sightline anywhere close to even 400m) and discourage rifleman long range camping with fullauto-capable weapons.
Also, bipod animation needs to be fixed(the bug has been there for way too long); it's the one where bipod on uneven surface while prone makes head invisible(but hitbox is somewhat there) while player can still see over terrain/cover to fire at enemy. It can be seen easily while spectating, with ally LMG aiming way higher than where shots went, and shots obviously not following direction of the barrel. (Insurgency/DOI may have better bipod system than RS2, but they suffer from similar issue)
