If there is mg [bullet penetration + realistic recoil + suppression effects] then there is no need to change rifles as they are in ROOST (except maybe making hipshooting harder). Especially don't add random factors or things that slow the game down...

Hip shooting is fine in RO. At 10 feet, it actually is pretty easy to hip shoot and hit a man sized target.

Hip shooting is fine as it is i think, and i wouldnt even mind it if it was made a little easier but i dont think thats needed.

The main thing is that atm there is a bug that recenters the free aim of the gun to the dead center of the screen, utlizing that will allow you to make laser accurate longrange hipshots. If that bug is fixed there shouldnt be a big issue.

I think the first person weapon model is too high for being shot a the hip, it looks more like it's shouldered.

balance?? balance?? "arcade" FPS need balanced weapon...but RO:HoS is a 2WW simulator as Armed Assault...if weapon "X" is more powerful than weapon "y", isn't realistic overpower "Y" or downpower "X". the weapon and the vehicles need to be REALISTIC and NOT BALANCED :rolleyes:

Idd ! Lets the german panzer b e a lot more powerfull and armored than russian tanks. It's REALISIC. Like None T34 could engage ennemy Panthers before <800m as it goes also to the Tiger.
I found sometimes that in RO:OST tanks were to balanced according to history statistics and facts.
I would love to feel really "almost" invulnerable in my Tiger Tank. (it's almsot the fact in DH with the KoenigsTigerTank)

then try to play as a tiger tank crew on Krivoi Rog.
I received over 30 hits (front and side) until they managed to destroy one of my tracks.
After that, 2 t34 got onto my rear and killed me.

it was great!

You won't be seeing any Panthers or Tigers in HOS as there were never any at Stalingrad but you should get a similar experience with the KV1 against basically all German tanks present (unless you run into a Pnz4 F2, I don't know if there any at Stalingrad).

That isn't entirely correct, Tigers were used during Operation winter storm:

There weren't many of them and they didnt have much impact, but they were definately used. Has Tripwire confirmed if Winter storm will be included?

I wouldin't mind if they werent any tanks, I didn't play RO for tank combat. With no tanks they can focus soley on the infantry experince which is what RO is all about, people would always complain about the tanks in RO not having this or doing this wrong, that was because they weren't the main focus.

Tanks are a integral part of RO. I'm not a huge fan of tank only combat, I love maps that have 1-2 tanks at the most which imo is realistic considering the amount of infantry that are playing with the tanks.

I love to see it made so tankers take a good 10 seconds to get out of a tank, the way they pop out in RO is simplistic and effectively stupid.

Hunting tanks is great fun, have you played DH. Working with a AT gun player to smash tanks is very entertaining. Protecting them and working your way around the back and then popping a bazooka in their arse is very entertaining.

Yes it's fun destroying them, not so much playing them.
