Be it Light or Heavy caliber, we just need one -.- MG's and Zombie's go hand in hand with each other.

Hell, even add a new perk class for it.

Heavy Weapons Guy - Rank 1
10% More damage with LMG/HMG weapons
Decrease movement speed by 5%
10% less recoil with all weapons
5% Specialised damage against Large targets.
(possibly a few more for balancing)

Each rank up his damage increases, recoil and movement speed reduces. so he is the slowest class but is very powerful (not op) - but he can mow down an entire group of Zombies/specimen or whatever you wish to call them and still have ammo in the magazine ready for another few groups.

alternately support could be the perk for them but support is OP enough as it is. and i'd rather be slower with a crap-load of more firepower.

They are best used to defend a certain flank like a door/hallway and they specialise in taking out bigger targets (think ballistics right now, if they shoot a Clot/critter, the bullets will over penetrate and not do enough damage unless the HWG wants to turn them into swiss cheese :D) Fleshpounds, Bloats, Scrakes and the Patriarch.

Tbh, im sure alot of gun-nuts and such would cream themselvs if they could use a H/LMG in Killing Floor :D

I think MG should be modeled for Commando special weapon to balance things out, add penetration for handcannon, rifle and bullpup and give medic a perk increasing bullpup damage.

I think everyone giving their "opinions" is getting a bit old. If we had such a l33t weapon then poor clots would be paper. What we really need is some sort of weapon that is powerful against larger targets, but has a weakness against the little guys.

Honestly, people don't realize it, but a Bullpup in the hands of a level 5 Commando is quite a heavy duty gun. +50% damage. That's a ton. I can already take down a gorefast in 1-2 bursts of 2-3 bullets and I'm only level 3.

M4A1 ftw maybe with a grenade launcher option. That'd be sweet. Not every gun in the game has to/or even does come from Britain so...

Well, I'm pretty certain that Flamethrowers are highly illegal in Britain, and aren't even in use by the military. I'm unsure about the legality of crossbows, but those certainly aren't in use by the British military. Neither of those are made in Britain either.

On a similar note, I'm not aware of anybody who honestly tries to dual-wield pistols, since people who have actually fired a handgun before know that it's a stupid idea. Although I must admit that KF's 'handcannon' does a good job of showing how useless double pistols really are - lower total ammo capacity, inability to use the iron sights resulting in piss poor aim, lower accuracy, longer reload time etc... However, I don't know why the game considers double HCs as a shotgun.

The M4A1 is an assault rifle using 5.56mm NATO rounds, this is a thread for a MG. So an RPK, M249, Mini Me or the Support version of the L85 with a box mag.

I've seen way too many american guns especially the m4a1, it's time for a change.

PS: British police/military don't use american weapons iirc.

M249, Mini Me

It's "minimi", and they're the same thing.

Well, think of the guns featured in your average shooter.

Let's look at CS:S, 'cause it's a good game to showcase this phenomenon:

Glock 17 - Austrian
SIG P228 - Swiss
Desert Eagle - Israeli
FiveseveN - Belgian
Beretta 92s - Italian
Benelli M3 - Italian
Benelli M4 - Italian
Steyr TMP - Austrian
Ingram MAC-10 - American
H&K UMP - German
H&K MP5 - German
FN P90 - Belgian
IMI Galil - Israeli
AK-47 - Russian origin
M4A1 - American
Steyr AUG - Austrian
SIG-552 - Swiss
FN Minimi - Belgian
Steyr Scout - Austrian

Hell, Steyr alone features more weapons than all of the United States. Most of the tacticool guns seem in video games, Killing Floor being no exception, are from Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium. Pick any random shooter not about WW2, chances are the only American guns featured would be a generic 1911 clone and some sort of AR-15, maybe a MAC-10 or Mini-14 on rare occasions.

I think video games don't have enough American guns; I want to shoot zombies with a S&W 1006 and a Stoner 63, dammit.

PS: British police/military don't use american weapons iirc.

Technically, the SA-80 is an AR-18 reconfigured as a bullpup and with a bunch of extra weight tacked on, so that's pretty American.

And IIRC the British police don't use any british weapons (lol oxymoron) either... what's your point?

I'd like to see a heavy machine gun or autocannon similar to the Heavy's gun in Team Fortress 2, only a lot more down to earth. An M60 or something similar. Undeployed, it would have huge recoil, but deployed, it'd be manageable.

And I don't see why everyone keeps thinking all the weapons need to be british...did anyone ever think that maybe the 'Outbreak' will spread? I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing locations outside of Britain and/or new, non-british soldiers. If the outbreak is so bad, it kinda makes sense that Britain would call for help, particularly from it's NATO and EU allies! We could potentially see any sort of weapon or soldier from any location on the world...

Why not providing the German MG3 , the 2nd most spread MG of the world.
This is a heavy Gun that shoots 1200 rounds per minute, good for huge enemies ;). And the model can be taken from RO as it looks like a MG42.

+1

Lots of non-British weapons in the game already, so why not?

This would be awesome. A deployable machine gun is definitely what this game is missing. It would be balanced since you couldn't fire without deploying. It would leave your flanks wide open so you would need a teammate to cover you.

Well, considering how very rare manpack rotary guns are, being down to earth would mean not having them in the game at all. (I'm already a bit perplexed by the patriarch, seeing as how he has a rotary gun that doesn't fire nearly fast enough to require multiple barrels)

Completely aside from that, rotary guns consume an absurd amount of ammo at an even more absurd rate. This video seems to be decent for reference.
The only things that could conceivably justify that kind of abuse are fleshpounders and patriarchs, and even then only on servers with much more than just the default six players.

Rip the MG42 out of RO and call it a MG3 :) Honestly that thing is just a rechambered MG42 with a few insignificant details thrown in.
