Game developers using the word 'soon' should be fined.

As much as i have learned to hate the word "Soon" it is the holy grail for games dev's as it is open to interpretation and is kinda exiting to think "Ohh soon means next week".

Also first post! :)

Almost 30 degrees in a civilized measurement system.

I thought the friends and family beta already begun but I guess not, nice to hear it's on its way.

It's Atlanta, he may have meant 85 C

Funny thing is, I work in Celsius (in a lab), but can't translate it to weather in my head.

As Putz posts says, "lightweights".

Why, I remember when we had no air conditioners..... Thats why houses were built with dog trots and sleeping porches, and we did things with a nickel pad and a pencil..... Its 90 F here, and we're almost through planting cotton.

But hey, if it gets the game out sooner, more power to the cool....

That's funny, my sauna is just warming up ;)

Well quick is a relative term. It won't go that fast as your body got the ability to sweat delaying the time it takes for your body to reach a critical level.

But in regards to productive work at the least that would become an unbearable temperature, with too many untrained people fainting during a full work day. (actually cold temperatures allow your brain to work better, so study in a fridge).

I know, it was just a bad attempt at being funny

It is actually quite nice outside, but the amount of heat to be dissipated is surprisingly massive in a game studio ;p. Well, we programming people are working from home right now, much better :).

Yosh, how are are the swarm machines doing in your office? :p. Poor bastard.

Isn't that what the developers of Duke Nukem forever would say? "Soon"

Hey

On the bright side, that game IS slated to be released this year.. so 10 years is not so bad for some as long as it get's finished.
