I noticed in the mod, there was a timer that told you how long you had until the next wave comes. I'm wondering if that timer is still there. In my opinion, I think the game would be even scarier if the timer was gone. If you knew a wave was coming because the music would gradually build or something like that. I'm hoping to be really freaked out by this game. I don't think a countdown timer is very frightening.

Plus you might need that time to even find the merchant. Are they still going to change position after every wave in the full release?

Oh. I didn't put it clearly enough. The time in between waves is fine. I just don't want to see the timer. It's more frightening if you don't know when they're coming, but you know they will eventually. I have no problem with the timer itself though, other than the fact that I can see it.

Well, with the timer you're sitting waiting for the wave and you see the timer countdown so you know exactly when things will start to intensify. If only the music indicates the arrival, it could catch you more by surprise. You thought you had more time, but you hear the music and realize they're coming. It's just a suggestion. The game will be amazing either way.

But the timer also counts DOWN to let you know you don't have enough time to buy more ammo, because you weren't paying attention during the fighting and ended up miles from the trader. So now you are running for the shop, watching your re-arming time tick away, knowing that you won't have time to do more than grab ammo, but not sell the Bullpup and buy a shottie instead...

And Wilson comes in with the score! That makes sense. I can see myself getting frantic over a situation like that. I seriously can't wait. This is going to be a good one for sure.
