Warning! Protected area!

Among other things, this has to be one of the issues that need to be modified/fixed. I have died so many times because we lost some random objective and all of a sudden I had 5 seconds to escape from behind enemy lines. I suggest making the time limit at least 1 minute and somehow integrate it into setting of the game by adding something else than "WARNING PROTECTED AREA!", like "YOU HAVE ORDERS TO RETREAT". And instead of blowing up in a shower of gory mess, you could spawn a random bullet to hit the unfortunate player.

I agree with this one. An other issue is with snipers that use there protected area as cover. They should be getting some aiming penalty if they stay in the protected area too long. This will force them to move out to have a better shot. In reality there was no protected area. So don't use it to protect your back. That is my opinion.

There's a spot on Pavlov's house where a German tank can sit outside the Russian spawn in a protected area. This gets annoying because you can't get close enough to hit it with an AT grenade or satchel charge.

Haha I've had quite enjoyable experiences with this! On grain elevator I've been shooting from my vantage point by the pile of grain only to be shot from behind. I turn around to see an exploded german body because he was in the protected area :D i just bandaged up and continued on!

Although it can be quite amusing i really think they need to fix this issue. Great thread!

Protected Area has killed me so, so many times just because my team lost a point. Why don't they just apply it to people who weren't in the area that became protected before the point was lost?

Also, a timer would be very usefull, as you never have any idea how long you have to escape.

The only thing you mostly can do when reading "Warning! Protected Area!" is to read the entire message once again because you have no time to escape the God's hand crush in most cases. It's okay you can't run into the spawn but certain areas that are currently protection areas have to be open to all players.

How about this: instead of killing you, the spawn protection teleports you back to your spawn.

Well yeah, hopefully it will get an option to have it or not... but then war is unfair hehe... esp when you explode for no reason...
