Seeing as RO is a hotbed of "you couldn't script it better" stories, lets hear some of the tales you've experienced from your days with the beta!

I've got plenty but am not one for boasting (we all know I'm awesome, so lets leave it at that :D) but one in particular sticks out in my mind.

Me and my team of Russian soldiers are pushing up through Danzig, we storm the apartment building and slaughter all German soldiers inside. As we attempted to continue our push we ran face first into an ambush of Axis sikduer who are already dug in around the ruins, lying in wait.

One fellow in particular, wearing an officers cap, stood out to me. He was on his knee's leaning around a corner waiting for my unsuspecting team mates. I pull up my Mosin and took aim for his skull. As I pull the trigger, a fellow Ruski lackadaisically walks between me and my prize.

I shout in anger and look to re-aim but there was no need. My team mate, who took a bullet straight through his abdomen staggered back, ran out of eye sight at which time I assume he healed himself as I only got a team damage down mark. I look back to where the German officer had once been kneeling, only to see his lifeless body slump forward.

My bullet had passed through my team mates stomach, causing only minor injuries, and pierced the helmet and skull of my German counter part.

The rooms on the far right (far left for russians) on The Apartments always seem to become a epic space for some good shootouts. The round started (us as Germans) we ran to the room and all the way to their entrance with the stairs, i laid down on the steps together with a machine gunner and a smg soldier at the door on the left.

Russians came running in and got mowed down, i had a rifle and took out the ones at the sandbags, it suddenly went quiet and heard their boots outside of the door, we same him taking cover at the door and we all fire our shots through the wall, he fell to his knees in agony and slammed his head on the floor. One guy i also shot outside right in his guts and he landed on his back holding his guts and screamed for a few seconds and than slowly died, i was like...

I fired about 2/3rd's of my PPSh41 into one German, rounded the corner where two of his mate's with bolt actions were, I fired missing them, then they both fired their rifles at me till it was empty as I danced around struggling to get my pistol out of it's holster.

By the time it was out the two Germans now had their pistols drawn (this is because of the everyone has a sidearm bug) and we all empty our pistols from about 5 meters away, not scoring a single hit! I run forward and wack my pistol into one of their faces, chase after the other one only for him to reload in time to shoot me. The guy i whipped then perishes. It was really thrilling and comically terrible shooting at the same time.

I was playing FallenHeroes as a German Assault Trooper so I was already at a large disadvantage due to the ranges involved. I was pushing towards the Russian Fortress building that Im sure everyone knows by sprinting through the sewers.

I manage to make it to the last run before entering the building filled with Russians. I compose myself, throw two grenades into the entrance way and storm in. I'm immediately granted with two kills from the Grenades, I cut down a Russian with my MP40 and run up stairs.

I suppose this would technically be "within" enemy lines. With unsuspecting Russians everywhere I nonchalantly head from room to room, firing rounds into their backs as they engage my comrades across the map. I got roughly 8-9 kills out of this one act alone. Finally, when out of ammo for my MP40 and resorting to my pistol, I was killed in a valiant last stand at the top of a stairway by no less than 3 well armed Ruskies.

Felt very badass for that. Definite posthumous Iron Cross. :D

On the fallenfighters map: my squad are hunkered in cover when the leader calls out and objective, stands up and calls out "Attack"!
He takes one step and his head disappears from an at rifle shot, then someone yells else out "Negative"!

I held the Propaganda House largely by myself for about 8 minutes and went 10-0 in doing so. It was like I was blessed.

I'd walk in from the back balcony, see a guy at the window, and kill them. Turn left, see a guy coming across the pool table....kill 'em. Step into the room with the stairwell and see two guys coming up. I kill one, and the other kills the guy next to me that just ran in. So I kill him. I step the room off to the left of the stairwell to reload....step out...two more up the stairs. Kill one, the other kills new reinforcements coming in...I kill them.

This goes on for another few minutes. Every time I stick my head out to look at the stairwell, I'm about to die, someone else rushes in and takes the bullet, giving me just enough time to finish both shooters and bandage. After my elite rifle goes dry, I pick up a PPSh and keep going.

At one point I throw a grenade downstairs and see so many white score notices on my screen I have no idea how many people it just blew up.

I'm going to savor games this like, because I know 2 weeks after release they are going to just be a pleasant memory.

Fallen Fighters, Territory.

My fellow Russians had captured all the points but the final one. I sneak my way around the map, dodging MG and rifle fire as I cross the field. All around me my comrades are dropping, yet I'm the lucky one. I sprint by the fountain, and I make it (thankfully) to a conveniently-placed pile of sandbags on the side of the road- where the Nazis are hunkered down.

As I weave around the obstacles in my way, I reach another open area behind the objective building. Suddenly, a Nazi comes around the corner. We both stare at each other in shock until I pull out my trusty Mosin-Nagant and place a clean shot in his chest.

One Nazi down.

As I make my way inside the building, I quietly climb a staircase to get to the main floor. I pick off two distracted enemies with ease.

Suddenly, I've been spotted.

An entire squad rushes my position. I fire two pistol bullets- one in the head, one in the chest. Their rifleman drops. I sprint up the stairs- not knowing what to do, or where to go. This was unfamiliar territory to me; all I was trying to do was survive.

As I climb the third flight of stairs, I hit an impass. I'm cornered. As another Nazi climbs the stairs, I aim down my sights and pull the trigg- it's jammed. My rifle won't fire, and I have a Nazi assault trooper waiting for me to show myself. His MP40 will turn me to mince-meat at the first signs of my existence. I pull out my pistol and wait for the opportunity to shoot... and he goes back down the stairs. My rifle is in working condition now, so I snipe from the balcony.

I fire my first shot. I miss. They're alerted to my position yet again, and two of them run up the stairs to hunt me down. What they weren't expecting, however, was my Mosin-Nagant. I hide behind a cabinet and easily attack two of them.

I know I'm not safe here any more. I go down the stairs and try to escape from the building- I've done enough damage here for my team to easily invade and capture the building. I climb down the stairs, and I'm one flight from safety. A nazi assault trooper wielding an MP40 comes out from the corner and aims his gun at me- this is it. There's no cover, and the doorway is of 20 feet away. I pull out my pistol and hit the deck- if I go down, at least I'll go down fighting. I hit him once in the leg, but he doesn't even flinch. My pistol is empty, and my rifle doesn't have a loaded bullet. I have a bullet lodged in my stomach, and he's coming in to finish the job. This is where the story ends.

Rather, would end- I have no idea where, but a bullet came down from the heavens (and by heavens, I mean the scope of a Soviet sniper half a field away) and the Nazi's brains are turned to a red goop splattering the walls, the floor, and me.

An entire Soviet squad rushes the building. Still, it's too late for me. I die, but the battle is won. Stalingrad is saved.

There I were. I could hear the enemy in the next room. My heart was pounding. I had a bolt action Mauser in my hands, a revolver on my belt, a grenade, and a bayonet that didn`t fit my gun. They were approaching slowly. I had to do something fast. I grabbed my revolver. It had 5 out of 6 shots in the chamber. It had to do. I knew the Germans were ready to shoot me if I peaked in the room. I had to do something right now. I grabbed my grenade and pulled the pin throwing it in a wall to rebound in the room. I heard a scream, and then a very, very loud bang. The screaming continued. I knew I got one, but I didn`t know if I got them all. I hurried, with the revolver in my hand. I quickly peaked around the corner and came out with my revolver. I saw a German, who had been blown apart from the arm. It appeared that he tried to throw the grenade away to protect his comrades.
There was a single other German in that room with an MP40, aiming out the window in the room. He saw me, so quickly pulled the trigger of my gun. My heart skipped a beat. The chamber that was set to fire had no bullet. My heart was in my throat as if it were trying to escape. He fired 5 shots in my general direction from the hip. He stopped, and fell to the ground. That empty chamber wasn`t empty. I heard a German in the next room yell something. He ran in the room, completely unprepared. He paused for a moment, dropped his gun and put his hands behind his head. He had surrendered to me. I didn`t shoot him, but instead I told him in my broken German to go, they would kill him if they saw he surrendered. He thanked me in the Russian he knew, and ran away. I heard footsteps from behind me, but I didn`t check right away because I knew my reinforcements would be coming here soon.
I quickly glanced over my shoulder to see who was there. It was a German soldier. The very second I saw him he hit me with the butt of his rifle and pinned me to the ground. We jumped on top of me and started choking me. He could have done it quick and clean but he wanted to make me suffer. I grabbed the bayonet from my belt, but he quickly grabbed it and clenched it into his hand. He was about to stab me, until I heard a bang. He looked at me with a blank stare, as if he had seen a ghost. He coughed up blood. I removed his corpse off me and stood up. It was the German I let go just a moment ago. He had saved me. I heard footsteps from behind me, and I looked to see my squad had arrived. I quickly yelled at the German to get away, but he didn`t understand me. My comrades saw him, and shot him, right between the eyes.
