Glock vs M1.... Thats easy. Screw the plastic, get the real thing! BTW, this is the US (and you seem to live in FL, to boot.) Unless your M1 is full-auto (impossible) your good to go w/o any liscence. Unless you buy it off the internets, in which case you will need to buy it through a licensed dealer. [see below]
Basically, you go to the neighborhood Gun and Pawn, tell them you need an "FFL transfer", they give you a copy of their FFL, you send it w/ $$ to the guy your buying the gun from. Have the rifle shipped to the place you're getting the FFL transfer with. When you go to pick it up, its yours. All you have to do is pay the FFL holder their transfer fee. (Depends. Pawnshop up here in N GA charges $10, usually $10-$20.)
No license or transfer needed for buying ammo over the internet, for most places (I use aimsurplus.com) you send them a copy of your Drivers License of Gov't Issued ID after you place your first order (they'll detail it on their website) and then you're on file with them for a good while. You only need be 21 or older for handgun ammo. 30-06 is about 50 CPR, brand new Prvi Partisan. You can probably get Greek Surplus ammo for cheaper.
