Category: Code

Reproducibility: Always

Description: After kicking two or three people, the server refuses to initiate any new kick vote. I did not see a setting for that, so it is a bug if you can not initiate kick voting ingame on your own server.

Online/Offline: Online

Actually this limit is as long as i can remember, basically you have 2 votes available but when you try to initiate a third it will say that you hit the limit of votes for the current map.

Hello can we have some info about why is that a thing? Can we have a new server option to set this limit or remove it completely? Tonight we had level 0 people joining a friend's HOE server... couldn't kick the third one from ingame, had to alt-tab, connect to webadmin, and kick, this is really annoying, please reply, thanks.

There are cool down limits to vote kicks to prevent griefing with it. Admins can bypass this by directly kicking. I did a search and found an old thread about admin commands. Are they working for you guys? I've passed on your request for ability to set up the cool downs.

Sure we can go to webadmin, but when a level 5 joins in a HOE game ten seconds before trader ends, you most likely will kick him after wave start, when you could initiate kick voting directly and in two seconds he's gone (because ingame kick > webadmin kick which requires alt tabbing from the game, and resulting in your death if you're not quick enough to reload the window back after kicking). When multiple low level come during the ten waves to leech daily objectives then you're ****ed basically, because yes you could issue a kick from webadmin, but it takes too much time in general to do that so you end up keeping the guy for wave start, who will die after less in a minute usually, after raging three scrakes and a FP because he doesn't know how to play and do **** (then of course, he got a perma ban for leeching and destroying the game).

Webadmin setting to override this so called 'anti-griefing' feature would be nice, and resolve lot of problem.

For direct ingame kick commands, problem is that it is a pain to use ingame console command. And I'm not even sure they work, would need to test them..

Another issue actually is that, logged in as an admin, you still can't initiate kick voting because of anti griefing feature forbiding to kick from ingame, when it is your own server and you're logged in as an ADMIN (will retry this but last time I tried I couldn't). I think when you're logged in as admin, you should override the kick limit from ingame, your map vote should directly switch map, and so on.. like on KF 1 actually. You're admin you should have max power, not be a simple peasant, or what is being logged in as admin for? Is it to only write in yellow?

Okay. QA is investigating admin commands. I wasn't aware that there were issues with them.

First of all I wanna say thank you for (finally) looking into it. I don't mean to be rude here, not at all. But the fact that that one thread (which got basically spammed by me and other forum users in) got ignored so many times, with no developer showing a mere will to fix the console admin commands for so long kind of saddens me.

The thread was advertised more than enough I'd say. Just thought I'd throw that out. I do understand that devs sometimes can have a hard time getting to see and reply to every thread there is on the forum (You're really busy with other things too, I can see that), but it was really advertised long enough I think.

I think it's great you're finally looking into it. Thanks for that.
