That Grizzy MKV .50 is a beast!
yeah but it is mostly just a 1911 i believe.
i'm not sure whether to put it as a seperate vote or not but that is the same story with alot of weapons on the list that i'm not sure at what point a variant should be a seperate vote and also with categories like the cross over between battle rifles, marksman rifles and semi-auto snipers, whether some would be more appropriate for commando or for sharpshooter i'm not sure of yet.

Can't think of any Firearms they have all been suggested. So i'm going to add the Master Sword from LoZ i doubt it has been suggested also this would make a nice DLC zerker weapon but it should be an Expensive but Powerful sword with an extremely high base damage. They don't call it the Master Sword for no reason.

This reminds me of Republic Commando. Anybody play that? Pretty righteous.
yeah for such a simple and linear singleplayer game it was great.
parts of it really captured the feeling of being part of an elite commando squad doing their thing so well without any unnecessary fancy story twists and stuff.

i don't remember much, it was about 10 years ago i played it, but i remember the first part of the campaign going around sabotaging the droid bases and stuff while the battle was going on and it had such atmosphere and style, especially the ending of that part when finished all sabotages and escaping.

i can't think of many other fps games that have the clarity and confidence to just make stories and missions like that without resorting to the typical, boring and unbelievable:
"you're the one person or small group saving the world from annihilation"
or
"you're the best in the world and totally unique level of warrior"
typical nonsense.

alot of it just felt like being part of any commando unit going around doing real commando unit type missions and jobs and it did it so well.
it's hard to explain it just had a unchilderated uniqueness about its missions and objectives and story.
normally you only get that in tactical and turnbased types of action games but it had that while still being fast paced and cinematic and being on missions that is just nonstop slaughter and sabotage for hours like a real long epic job.

that's the ending of first part of game i remember when escaping after 1 hour 30 minutes of going around warzone doing stuff then escaping

edit: impersonal. that's part of how i'd describe the story being so great. everything completely impersonal to protagonists. and the pacing of the all the objectives another thing great in that game, not too long or complicated and not too short.

Wow! I like this list quite a bit. Put me down for these and the Ruger Mini-30 for a (not quite) battle rifle. Yeah, the M1911A1 and the plain-jane AMT are essentially the same, but I'm guessin' SlantSix meant the AMT jammie with the 7-inch barrel.

I would love to see a niche/class for machine guns, any kind really. Maybe as part of the commando class, but hopefully still giving you some reason to use assault rifles.

k i've got you down as this
Spoiler!

Ruger Mini-30 for a (not quite) battle rifle.
yeah it's a semi-auto 7.62x39mm so best in battle rifles i guess. i imagine something like that would be best suited in gameplay as a cheap sharpshooter weapon for spamfire

I can't believe nobody voted for Flare revolver!

Plus if not a Huskball launcher then there should be some sort of replacement. I don't know whether there will be a firebug perk but it would be kind of dull to have just flamethrower type weapons available like when KF1 first came out.
FT is so much fun to use and it looks even better in KF2 but we definitely need something to mix it up and to offer different playstyles. Let me stress the point I'm trying to make here:

FIREBUG(if there will be one) NEEDS A WEAPON THAT REQUIRES AND REWARDS GOOD AIM.

Really? strange that is a classic kiting weapon for Fleshpounds and Patty on Suicidal and possibly HoE sense i don't play HoE i can't really say that anyone uses it but i've seen it used alot on Suicidal while kiting.

Edit: especially when there is 1 survivor left trying to carry the group to the next wave.

yea I hope they include the flare Rev and the Trenchgun, or at least introduce some new equivalent. Without those flame type weapons kiting is going to be a bit more difficult. Then again kiting is going to be more difficult anyway since the players and zeds can both sprint now.

Also can't wait to see what new weapons the Sharpshooting is going to get since he'll be all long guns now.
