Pump Action Shotguns:

Winchester 1897 Trench Gun
I would love to see this returned to the Firebug class. This is my favorite weapon from the first game, I think. It just feel so good to use and I can't wait to get my hands on the brand new version for this game.

Break-Action Rifles:

Double-Barreled Elephant Gun
Something along the lines of [img=http://media.liveauctiongroup.net/i/7832/9387220_1.jpg]this[/url] for the sharpshooter would be a welcome addition. Something that packs a lot of punch but is limited by only two shots at a time. A true gentleman's weapon.

Break-Action Revolvers

Webley Mk VI Revolver
Another british classic, I'd love to see some break actions in the game, probably for the Gunslinger class, but also just as a sidearm for other classes.

you think there is too many categories? i think so sometimes but for example if had tommy gun, mp40 and ppsh43 with other smgs then they would just hog all votes and others wouldn't get a looking. mayaswell just let them compete with each other and keep it away from other smgs.
and same sort of logic with some other categories seperated.

FN MAG/M240 (really, this is a bread and butter MG that gets too little use)
yeah it is such a gun, sexy beast that should be so iconic but i can't remember it in any game other than some delta force games

too many categories, too many votes

M240 is not that uncommon but not as common as it should be. It was in ArmA 2, MW2, etc. Then again it's a gun where the proper way to fire it while standing is actually from the hip.

Not that it's on the list, but an idea I had for a potential new character would be an excessively eccentric Englishman in a suit of armour. Sir something, would be hilarious.

Also bring back the Chickenator, Agent Wilkes and Harold Lott!

I think they'd fulfill a role that has not been covered to this point in time.
deployable heavy machine guns? that would be.. interesting. that's a big gap between just having light/medium machine guns which are easily run and gun with.
there's been alot of talk about machine guns in the past and generally i have repeatedly said:


  • abit less accuracy than commando weapons
  • significantly more recoil than commando weapons
  • takes up all carry weight
and/or

  • very expensive to buy the weapon and ammo
and/or

  • move slower with them
and/or

  • slow movement while firing


but now when i think of machine guns i don't think they would necessarily be best as a seperate class and movement restrictions etc, i think they would be best suited to commando. just can only carry 1 machine gun instead of 2 other commando weapons, much more recoil, abit less accuracy, significantly longer reload depending on what machine gun etc.

and commando is feeling quite lacking atm and who better than a 'commando' to be using machine guns? it would fit great in commando giving commando more variety in weapons.

I spy Americlaps voting the **** out of stuff like Thompson (Over the Sterling?), Garand, BAR, Colt(s), M60, and Winchester once again, plus the RPG-7, also known as the only recognisable rocket launcher in existence.

Winchester rifle I'll give ya that because it's from the 2005 Mod and 2009 retail release, but jesus christ.

Y'all have to vote for the most overused, over-represented weapons in games and movies since the dawn of god damn time.

I'm still pretty pissed off that TWI never bothered to take any advantage of the London setting and make use of iconic British weapons since they were begged for since the game's release.

All I'm seeing here is "I saw this gun in 20 other games, and I think it'll be awesome to have it in 21 games!"

At least we got an ultra-common MP5. Other than that, the only thing halfway brit-relevant was a FAL and that wasn't even made by the devs.

Mad props to people who voted for the Enfield, Bren, FAL, MP5, AWP, AS-50, Browning HP, Sten, Sterling, HK grenade gun, and the various french guns, old and new.

Killing Floor, as much as I love it, frustrates me due to how much its geographical setting is neglected. For some reason, it's preferable to make the armoury as close to CS or COD and every other shooter as possible, be they WW2 or modern-day games, instead of, you know, being freaking INTERESTING for once.

Also MAT-49 is a must. Would be cool if it were the initial choice of 9mm SMG instead of a Colt AR 9mm.

This. Holy crap, this. The currently voted weapons are the most generic FPS guns that have ever existed.

For the weapons:
Nothing specific, and I don't like blindly naming off random weapons because they "look cool" with no regard to plausibility or gameplay merits. What I'd just like to see is a focus on European and the occasional Eastern Bloc weapons because of the setting, and a return of the actual real life melee weapons from the first game. Maybe I'm the only one, but imho the eviscerator is just stupid, the crovel is ridiculously overdone (being a combination shovel/serrated knife/crowbar/cheese grater), the nailgun doesn't make any sense, and the pulverizor (while admittedly very awesome) just makes me miss the fire axe.

Though admittedly I do have a soft spot for the MP5A4
