Voip commands do not work

I would love to play as tank commander with a driver that can hear my voice commands. My microphone is on so when I press scroll lock and talk the driver should respond to my message. I thought this was the whole point of avoiding using time consuming text messages.Tried to get this to work with bots in practice mode(not sure they understand English though) and with my brother on LAN in another room, but no luck - he cannot hear me. VOIP is activated so I do not know what else i should be doing. Is there a tutorial somwhere on this aspect of the game? I cant get into the com settings as it is blanked out?

I must be missing something. Help please

Obviously the bots wont respond to vocal commands

Make sure your mic is active and not muted in the MS sound control panel (sometimes Windows will just mutes it for no apparent reason).

When you press the talk button , do you see a speaker icon?

Yes I see a VOIP icon but the needle is static. MIc works on Steam test and I have tested it on windows. How do I change from Junior status to senior?

There is no channel selected in the RO audio settings. Should there be an entry in there?

Team = END, Local = DEL and Public Chanel = HOME.
To speak in Tanks use the Local Chanel.

Does not work on any of those channels! No one can hear me, but I should be able to hear my own voice with mic set at medium volume

press down scroll lock (default key) when you speak.

You should see some voltage meter or whatever pop up check if the meter is moving when you say stuff.

The meter appears when I press down and hold scroll lock, but the needle does not move - thats wierd.

When I have that problem, it is usually something I messed up in my (soundblaster) mixer and I don't have my mic set as on. As a matter of fact, I had that problem just two days ago because I was messing with it.

'Allow Voip in Game' is X'ed in the options ?

Options Ok in settings and likewise in Soundblaster. I have seen this problem occurs to many players in this forum. Mic works Ok in all others respect except RO. No wonder many tankers go it alone!

If you have an Audigy2 or Superior, it may be judicious to make sure you have OpenAl installed.

Do you use TS or have it installed ?
I ask because I've recently started using the program and have been getting slight problems here and there.

Ok Folks, I have it working at last!! Not sure why, but maybe my soundblaster settings. Only thing is when most of the others are German or Russian then not much point when you can only understand English. Anyway pleased it works now.
