By the title you can guess whats this thread about.

The question is... will this game follow RO2 formula so that the Japanese in your team speak Engrish? or will the language be respected at all times regardless of the team you are playing or the localization?

In case it wont, could it be optional?

We are faced with several factors here.

Number 1 - we are an international team and therefore do not feel that it is necessary to have English where not appropriate.

Number 2 - one of the teams speaks English anyway - what do we do for players that play Japanese? Give them English with a cartoon Japanese accent? and make the US forces seem to those players to speak, I dunno, Hungarian?

Number 3 - number 2 is based on the rather spurious assumption that all players speak English anyway. In HoS I can foresee Russian RO2 players playing as German and being able to understand the enemy but not their own team, no matter what the server setting.

Therefore we will sidestep the whole issue of the voice 'localisation' and go with the actual languages spoken by the combatants.

I've got a (somewhat related) question. Will Rising Storm have a battle chatter system like RO2, or will it just have voice commands?

Knowing that the Japanese always speaks Japanese makes me extremely happy to hear.
