Server VAC, Stats, etc.

I noticed in the sample command line Yoshi gave the VAC was turned off.
Is there a reason for this at this time? Or can we turn VAC on.

Also, while waiting for the game to be released, I tried running ServerExt (mainly for the admin section) and noticed that some (if not all) of the files caused STEAMAUTH to fail. If it proves to be compatible and/or functional, would it be possible to get some of those files "whitelisted"? (or is there another way to add admins?)

You'll want to enable Vac by default. I think not including it in the sample commandline was an oversight. Also, is the version of ServerEXT you're using compatible with the RO whitelist? If so it should work with KF, but if its a different version we'll have to add it.

VAC is definately supported then?
I ask because I turned it on for our servers, but the console displayed that VAC was disabled

Some servers have successfully enabled VAC Security, I believe that VAC failing to enable is actually due to a typo in the default Server Batch file. It should say VACSecured=true not VACSecure=true

As for the Mutator White List, at present, there is no white list for mutators in Killing Floor. I will start a thread taking requests for Mutators to be added to the White List. Once they are verified to be safe, they will be added to the list to be released in a patch in the future. Sorry for the confusion.

Just to clarify, it should be bVACSecured=True in KillingFloor.ini?

Edit: Yeah looks like it enabled VAC.

Well in the batch file it is VACSecured
But I guess it would be easier to set the bVACSecured value in KillingFloor.ini

Thanks for the quick response. I'll check and see. Perhaps I fubared something. I'd put ServerADse in the folder at the same time (but did not implement it). Perhaps that caused the problem.

Latest update seems to have cured the problem.
ServerExt no longer causes STEAMSTATS to fail.
