Well, this may or may not have been said, but,

What do you think of adding a V.I.P. mode? One human has 75% of on field zombies attracted to him and if he dies, all is lost. (Maybe if he lives long enough per wave, people who have died can re-spawn).

If that doesn't sound so good, what about a V.I.P. zombie or group of zombies that must killed for the wave to end? (Waves don't have a set limit)
wave 1= 1 zombie V.I.P., wave 2= 2 zombie V.I.P.s etc......

VIP mode has been discussed before (several times). I personally think that the more game modes the merrier but others have poo poo-ed the idea. I've started messing around with sandbox more and more in an effort to mix up the game due to bordem. I think a story mode, VIP mode, and defend the area mode would be great.

VIP zombie mode - I'm not sure how this would work....the waves don't end until the zombies are all dead anyways. So this sounds just like regular game play to me.

VIP zombie mode - I'm not sure how this would work....the waves don't end until the zombies are all dead anyways. So this sounds just like regular game play to me.

In V.I.P. zombie mode, the wave number is= to the number of fleshpounds or unique zombies only for that mode that you have to kill in the wave. (Maybe they don't follow you, you have to find them) The longer it takes to kill them the harder the rest of the zombies that spawn get, until maybe there is a limit (time or # of zombies allowed onscreen), then you've become "overwhelmed" and the game ends. This would force the players to move around. (same with ammo depletion)

of course, this needs to be ironed out :p Anyone want me to make a poll?

so i could just hunt down the VIP zombie, kill it....and win that wave?

yes, and the wave will spawn stronger zombies as time goes on, ammo will continue to run out, all until that VIP is killed. (Then the Trader opens as usual) Unfortunately, as the waves progress, more zombie VIPs are added. Wave 1 has 1 VIP, wave 2 has 2 VIPs, etc..... up to a total of 10. (The VIPs are spread out over the map....spawn in various areas)

I don't want to get technical unless people really do like the concept, but to increase difficulty, if players are camping or exploiting in some way, the Spawn points closest to the players may be the ones where zombies keep spawning from to keep the pressure on the players. (It's not easy when 30 some zombies spawn beside you because you're taking your time.)

Medic, crossbow...run past everything and one shot the vip

...everytime. lol

but a vip mode for the humans is not a bad idea, would encourage people to stay together so tehy can protect him etc.

lol, I see your point with the medic, like I said it would take some ironing out, but if a way could be found, it would be pretty sweet. For instance the minute someone hits the VIP, many of the specimins suddenly target that player and attempt to kill them, which could be not so good if the player only winged the VIP or if there is still at least one more specimen VIP somewhere on the map.
.......do you think the VIP might need some "bodyguards?"

On some other topic everyone seemed to comment that VIP game modes are boring etc but imo it would be fun to try protecting a player. Im always trying to help everyone, give money and heal, so an entire gamemode dedicated to that would be just right for me :p

The idea about zombie VIPs is kinda funny too, but theyd have to be some pretty tough specimens so a lonesome medic cant one shot them like mentioned above. Maybe it should be like, the Patriarch, but instead of trying to kill us it would try to run away and hide etc. Altho his cloaking ability should be either removed or limited by great extend or else it would be next to impossible trying to find and kill him lol. Except if you used commandos only team ><

The VIP person would be by vote or random, depending on the server options......if that can be done :p

As for the zombie VIP, it could be one of the existing zombies, or a new one. A much earlier post caught my eye with a potential VIP. the "Firepound" Fleshpound with husk arm. He would have the flame gun, and a metal arm in other hand. His health and size would be equal to the FP. If attacked from a range, he will use flame gun, which can, if successful on contact, make it hard to see for the sharphooter like the husk does. But if he's not attacked, he would not go after players, but rather wait until players got close and then lunge using the FP hand to damage them (Not rage damage, just normal as they are NOT bosses, maybe minibosses).......But that's just me.

Hmmmm... interesting idea. Obviously as of yet there haven't been any new modes added, so no idea if this would be any different :)

That being said, would be interesting to have a human VIP. Said player could either pick something like the sharpshooter to elimate big threats that attack him, or take the Medic to stand the best chance of surviving any potential attacks. It does create an interesting protection scenario. On problem of course if the risk of camping. We all know that U room in Biotics Lab for example would be the number 1 candidate. Only other thing would be what about the Patriach? Would kinda suck if you got 1 rocketted right at the strat of the wave and lost the game :)

In terms of hunting specific Zeds, I'd imagine a new specimen would need to be added that players need to find. Perhaps it would be like a hive mind hidden in the map for the other Zeds to protect it, but as such it would give off noise relative to how far away the Zeds were away from it. (That way in large maps like farm you stand a better chance of finding it since it would be giving off alot of noise to reach it's long distance Zed spawns). Would certainly make running as a unit alot more interesting.

Not a bad idea, again no idea if any new modes will be added, but I'd happily put this one forward as a candidate :)

I like the idea of human VIP, although I can imagine a total noob zerker becoming the VIP and getting himself killed pretty quickly. With regards to a zombie VIP, the target specimen should be invulnerable to headshots and burning.

Hmm maybe there should be some kind of setting like in Zombie Master (if anyone played it) where you can choose wether you are willing to be the ZM or wether you prefer to be a survivor. In this case you would choose wether you are willing to be the VIP or not. So basically if theres only one guy (out of 6) willing to be the VIP he always will be, if theres no-one willing to be VIP then he is randomly chosen beetween all players on the server.

That would be hard! If there were 10 "firepounds" on wave 10 all invuln to heads and burning, it'd be pretty darn hard to win. Like I said above firepounds could use ranged husk guns on sharpshooters with 70% or above accuracy forcing snipers to move around. If the Sharp got hit by the shot then the flames pop up on screen making it even harder. If the VIP is a firepound they would have the husk's resistance to burning already.

Well, like someone posted earlier you could just have a medic with an Xbow and BAM! Dead zombie.

All the VIP games I've played have been pretty suck-tacular, but they were all PvP. This one I could see being alright, if pulled off well. :p
