Server Using more than one CPU/Core

Windows 7 PC with an old I-7.
Kf2server uses one core and when that core is ~90% the system lags.
Is there a way to get it to use more than one core?
I was wondering if loading a Virtual server product on the PC and running the KF2 server in a VM would spread the load across all of the cores.

UE3 is single-threaded and sadly there isn't a easy way to make it multi-threaded due to UScript.

Is this a fresh install of Windows 7? I'm surprised your i7 isn't able to handle even one server. Are you running a bunch of mods/mutators on your server? I'm running an old Dell 2950 with dual Xeon E5320's on Server 2012 R2 and it's able to handle 10 stock KF2 servers running at 60 tick.

It's modded. With maxmonsters set to 360. We play almost exclusively custom maps. 12 players is where it maxes on some of them.

Yeah, you'll have to turn down the monster count or throw better hardware at it.

Not true. Why does KF2-UE3 use all the cores, and KFServer-UE3 uses 1 core?
