Using 2 weapons of the same kind

Please allow the use of 2 weapons of the same kind.

Note you can already do this with 2 different weapons, for example: you can carry an MP-40 and a ppsh. I'm simply suggesting you can also use 2 MP-40's, for example. (NOT DUAL WIELDING THEM )

Dont understand? you want to have a MP40 in each hand? totally unrealistic.

No he means he wants a second one. So if he gets into a shoot out with someone, instead of taking the time to reload if the shoot out is still going, he can just switch to his secondary weapon and unload that magazine as well.

So, run around with an MP40 as primary. He comes across an MP40 that someone else has dropped. He wants to pick it up as a secondary gun. He starts shooting with his primary MP40 and empties the magazine, he swaps to his secondary gun (in this case another MP40) and he can empty that magazine as well.

Understandable, I've used the tactic on occasion in other games.

Here's my only problem with that... Does that mean they now have separate ammo pouches (like with two different guns)? Or does it DOUBLE how much you can carry? With that also in mind, why can't we ALREADY carry double the ammo? I hate running out of ammo!

Sorry if I think that fact that you can carry double guns and thus double ammo is already silly... but if they fix that, it would be nice to switch to MP40 number two instead of reloading XD

i dont want that, what if i want to pick just ammo and not gain extra weight (move slower) from an extra weapon.

Good point. Can be achieved by keeping the ammo when throwing away a similar weapon.

Example:

You have an MP-40 with 2 clips. You pick up another MP-40 with 2 clips. You now have 2 MP-40's and 4 MP-40 clips. When you throw away 1 MP-40, you're left with 4 MP-40 clips.
