Excuse my "noobishness" here but how can I determine weather RO2 has been updated? In STEAM i only see the update from the 24th of Sep...

Try to launch game. If it isn't updated then it will update. If it is updated it will launch.

Well you can check if the current version includes some new featues introduced by the latest update For example, when you spectate now, can you see the players name in big white letters above all the camera options etc.?
