Update 1006

Having some issues with updating my servers to 1006.

At first I was using my steamlogin, but someone on steam said to try the anonymous login.

So I tried that and I got one of my servers to update to 1006.

However in the same steamcmd window, after forcing the install dir to the other KF2 server folder, the other server just says already updated. However its still running 1005.

Tried closing out the steamcmd window and retrying the same steps.

Only thing I haven't tried yet is running a validate.

Anyone else with this issue?

Tried doing a validate and it updated the server. Kinda weird it did it didn't need it for one, but for the other.

I am having a similar issue. I even tried to reinstall the dedicated server client and I can't even download the whole thing, it only downloads part of the system. Maybe 2 MB worth?

You are not alone. Same prob, made several posts already. Might be a content distribution problem. We'll need to wait for an official comment I guess.

Having the same problem, CMD says everything is fine even with the validate, but server only loads into 1005

Well I resolved the issue. I was under the impression that you needed to login to steamCMD using your actual account that you bought the game with. IT worked by fluke for 1005 but not for build 1006. I guess from here on you need to login as anonymous and you'll be able to download / patch your server just fine.

Quick question regarding this, how do you tell what version of the server you're running? I rented a server and had the same problem until I ran the update, but I can't seem to find where to find the version of the server. Is there a command?

It's in the titlebar after map and playercount.

If you guys need a Windows copy of v1006 update(fresh), I just zipped up one for ya. Had this problem a few times with kf1 myself.

Nothing changed in it, just did a new update. Will prolly keep it there until the next update.
