I voted for the pretty cheap entry price of 19,99 since there was no 24,99. Most of my friends do not hesitate to buy a AA+ successor coop game if its in the range of 20-30 bucks. The thing these days is that the market got flooded by bad or half decent coop survival games and it gets even harder for groups to sort out the awesome stuff over the less good stuff. So its as often a price pick. If you settle in to high in the beginning you could easy end up in a sales game.

Now in EU1, where all the richer countries are.

Well, there is Spain in EU1, and judging at how the economy is here, we should be getting Russian prices by now. But nope, we must pay from 40 to 60€ for new high profile games (60$-85$). While Americans with almost twice our buying power, pays almost half that price. Meaning that the impact on an American wallet is about one third, compared to that of the few who actually have jobs here (57,7% of youth unemployment FTW)

Also we are also leaders in income disparity between the richest and the average citizen, so those numbers may actually be even worse.

Guys, guys... :D

I work full-time as a financial reporter and I pull 350 EUR net per month. Hilariously, food here costs the same as in Germany. So yeah, I can't exactly afford to buy a EUR 50 game unless I start saving up for it months in advance.

Well, how much I pay is honestly entirely dependent on content at launch.

I'd LOVE to pay $40 for the game, because that means there would be a ton of content behind it. $50 might be worth it, but that's about the same price as most Triple A releases on PC, so I doubt they'd charge that much.

Not saying I'll be upset if it's only $20 or $30; I'll still be hyped but for different reasons.

I voted $30, since I assume it will be full of DLC again. I would pay more if there would be less DLC or if you offer a special edition with a pass for all DLC, of course. :)

I'm not sure why there is all this concern about regional pricing from TWI. We've always priced accordingly per region, and we're not about to reverse 9 years of doing that. Case in point look at the regional pricing for the first game:

Keep in mind the Steam price for Euros and Pounds already includes VAT which is about 20%, and in the US there is no VAT.

To my knowledge, Valve avoided transferring EU VAT's for a long time. What happened to all that dosh?

I just hope it's not 1 EUR = 1 USD. Just kidding, I don't care, I'll trade stuff for it anyway!

I think a good way to do this is have a digital deluxe version with some cosmetic content. So, the entry level fee would be smaller, but you'd still be able to make a bit more money with a deluxe version for those willing to pay a bit more. I suppose some people might complain about having to buy the deluxe version if they want the extra skins, but not like this is new territory in the gaming industry.

This is a completely unscientific poll, but just for fun I'm throwing it out there. How much would you be willing to pay for Killing Floor 2? Of course most people would just want to pay one cent or get it for free. But realistically (i.e. it won't be one cent) what would you pay for it?

I would say $19.99 personally, but objectively, it being a new game, $29.99 seems like a fair price for both customer and developer.

The original price for RO2 was a bit on the higher end, which at the time seemed fair.... but because of the experiences with RO2/RS, KF2 should logically be at a lower opening price to bring in new and old players and get the company's status back in the good margins with the gaming community so that higher prices for future games can be justified.

Whether I would personally buy it, I need to see more information about the game, more reviews, etc.

And again, it would depend on the price if I would buy it, even if reviews were all fantastic.

Those reviews wouldn't just be by large pro review sites like IGN and Gamespot, but also from the community who have actually played it, as well as YouTube gameplay videos/reviews.

While I think $29.99 is "Fair"..... I would personally pay only $19.99 at this stage (if I wanted to get it at all) and if it was $29.99, I would wait for a sale.

I can't see anything beyond $29.99 being justified, especially with future DLC's to come later on. Whatever loss the company would make from lowering the price around $19.99 - $29.99 would surly be made back by those future DLC's.

To be blunt, I had high support for TWI with RO2 before it was sent to Beta and bought the DDE the day it was available (full price) with high expectations, and supported the company and game for over a year after its launch but eventually I came to the conclusion that any future TW titles will be judged carefully before making any blind purchases.

Unfortunately, I know I am not the only one who has come to this position.

A fair price of $29.99 (or $19.99) is a great incentive to gain the attention of players, new and old.... anything higher will most likely turn some away, especially those who have had some "difficult experiences" with RO2/RS.

NOTE:

^ The above is based on Full Release Retail Price

For Early Access Beta/Alpha, the price should no doubt be $19.99 or less. When Officially Released, $29.99 seems fair.

The other early access games I am currently playing range between $19.99 - $24.99. The $24.99 early access I currently play has a tonne of content and very good gameplay, especially as an Alpha. It's price is well justified.

Besides the couple of preview video trailers and a couple of links I've seen about Killing Floor 2, I have no idea what will currently be available in an Early Access Alpha/Beta version of KF2, therefore $19.99 seems fair.

I think $49.99 is fair price. People pay $60+ for crap like COD and BF.

I don't.

A game has to be pretty G'Damn amazing for me to warrant paying $40 for it.... CoD isn't.

Even if a game is amazing, I will generally wait for a sale on it to drop it well below $40 before I consider buying it.

Here in Australia, new CoD games are released at $89.99

People have to be pretty damn "something" to pay that.

If everybody based their pricing of their games on what Call of Duty does, we'd all be screwed.
