Under-complex Gamemodes

I don't see why half the gamemodes that have been suggested need be so complicated. There's been all sorts of stuff like bank robbery gamemodes, nuke defusing gamemodes......you get the idea. Any one else think we should just have some simple Gamemodes? The simplest are often the best:

Last man standing - Everyone gets

Awesome. Simple. Feasible. I love it.

I've grown ill of seeing suggestions that ask for buckets of content with minimal concern for the development process/integration of said ideas. With DLC updates, and content suggestion, it should come down to maximum gain with minimum effort. You've hit the nail on the head.

It's posts like this that truly deserve the devs attention.

EDIT:

Just thought of something regarding your team-based idea. What would stop Team A from walling Team B out of the shop during trader time? There would need to be a standard of no-collision during trader time.

Well, they recently whitelisted the no-collision mutator during trader time, so that standard could easily be met right enough. Other than that, we could spice things up with two open traders, or even a trader open for each team. Down to the devs really.....I'm sure they'd do the right thing :D

Team killing floor and Last man standing would probably be crazy lol. I can just imagine everyone running around corners when the fleshpound arrives so it focuses on the other players or team. Or enraging fps on the other team. :p

Timed killing floor would be a blast.

While I quite like this idea, the gameplay seems to be contrary to the way killing floor is constructed. Certain perks (particularly flamer) and their corresponding weapons would rarely if ever see play.
The Commando would have been included in that comment were it not for the update. My point being; the more useless perks for 'Rambo-ing' could be updated to be more useful in this gamemode in the future :p it's all just a bit of fun in the end, but you raise a good point.
there are no random spawns that spawn special weapons, a staple of later waves. And static spawns for power weapons is not something beneficial for either balanced or varied gameplay. Might need some coding.
I'd thought of this before posting, but I figured it could easily be coded to bypass it. Also, there's been at least one map created where players must depend entirely on spawns and from what I gather, it was pretty enjoyable. Though standard Killing Floor wont exactly be gone, so you can always just not play it, if it starts to bother you after a while.

Yeah, I got the idea when griefers started trying that out. Would surely make the game a bit more tactical. Guess we'd have a couple things to thank griefers for if it got made :rolleyes:

As an under-complex gamemode, what do you think of a deaf-mode (oh, a pun :D) ?
Just like the system of perk, you would choose a type of ZED and could only hear it. And as the perks, you could only change the kind of ZED at only trader time.
But, you could also hear every shot of you and your comrade and their screams. ;)

none of the zeds can die!

you get the unsatisfactory feeling of failure after firing all 12 clips into one clot!

great for masochists and people who hate money and headshots!

you'll know your disemboweled limbs will go to a good cause as they feed the baby clots in underground subway tunnels all around the world!

how about a mode kind of like survival except you dont have any weapons, just a welder with as good welding as a level 2 or 3 support

a litter of specimens from all angles trying to get you, faster speed tho
