Hi guys,
Game runs fine just can't move or look around. Oddly I can shoot and jump but nothing else. I have tried Verify integrity of game cache, deleted ROInput, deleted Config to no avail, I also reinstalled PB... Some help or some kind of answer would be really appreciated. I have searched online for a couple of days now, and the only real solution I have found is to format, but it has only been a couple of weeks since I formated anyway, so I'm trying to hold off on that one for now.

--------------------Update------------------

I have tried the whole keyboard language thing, but to no avail, also I reinstalled the game and again verified integrity, once more... no avail.

I really do not think the issue lies with my keyboard and mouse, reason why is, they work fine until I get to spawn.. then they stop working to an extent. The crouch, jump, Aim and fire work fine, but i cant move the mouse nor can i use WASD. Also, when I try to bring up the menu via the escape button while in game, it pops up briefly, then returns to the game, leaving me no choice but to then press the start key to close manually.

Ive checked Key bindings and they are all set up just fine.

Could there be a problem with me being on Vista x64?

Im really loosing patience with this, as I desperately want to play.

Ok, a few other questions.

1. Did you have this problem since first installing the game, or did it just crop up? If so, what change made this happen?
2. Can you post your complete system specs?
3. Are you running the game in full-screen or windowed mode?
4. Do you have any anti-virus running? If so, have you set permissions for it to allow the game?
5. Open up your ROEngine.ini file in Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config folder, and search for the line 'Suppress=Log'. Add a semicolon before it so that it reads ';Suppress=Log'. Now launch the game and reproduce the problem. Exit out, and once the game closes, you'll have a log file generated in Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Logs folder. It'll be called Launch.log. Can you attach that to your next post?

Thanks.

Thanks for posting the information.

Do you have the same problem if you join a multiplayer match?

Also, could you launch the game in windowed mode and see if you get the same problem?

Can you also tell me what monitor setup, resolution you're running.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

Yes I have the same problem in a Multiplayer game aswell as Single player.

I launched the game in Windowed and the same problem persisted.

My monitor setup is as follows:

1. Generic Non-PnP Monitor on NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT.
Resolution - 1280 by 1024
Highest (32 bit)

The game runs in 1024 x 768.

I had that problem back in the beta days, it was fixed by running the EU3Redist thats found in the binaries folder in the Red Orchestra 2 folder. Good luck. (BTW, your OS is up to date? You are logged in as an admin?) TWB*SlowBull

Thanks for the reply Oldslowguy, I had already run this program before I had reinstalled the game, so I tried it once more, only this time it gave me an error message. Ive attached a screenshot of the message.

I would suggest manually installing/reinstalling the .net versions and their service packs. This may help you if indeed one of them failed to install properly.

Alternatively I would also suggest trying a clean install of the game. Right click on the game in steam, and select delete local content. Then reinstall via steam or disc. Pay close attention to any errors that pop up during the process.

Hi Yoshiro, I have tried a clean install already, deleting content etc. When it was installing there were no errors.

Also.. the .net versions and service packs? What are these for? I didnt quite understand for what Im trying to manually install. Sorry >_<

Thanks so much in advance :)

If you canceled out of, or the prerequisites failed to install when you first launched the game, you will have to install these manually for the game to function.

They are located in: \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\Binaries\windows\

Install the following prerequisites located inside that directory: pbsvc_hos.exe and UE3Redist.exe

Do you have a gamepad of some sort attached to your computer, just for ****s and giggles try removing as many usb connections as possible to your computer.
