No suprise really. We signed up for the EU 5v5 ladders over 6months ago and nothing came of it. I have more matches on CB in a much shorter time. All it takes is an admin willing to activley recruit new clans to the scene.

meh...

By the time I came on board nearly all EU teams were actively participating at other sites and hesitant to try TWL for various reasons. We had a fair amount of success with the NA clans, though.

I pretty much gave up on my duties there about 1.5 months ago. Maybe I'm allowed to say this, maybe I'm not, but the prizes ROL got for the WC were initially going to be for the TWL tournament planned before I even arrived (actually before release even) but that never really materialized for a variety of reasons.

I think they expected something similar to BF2 and when it never happened RO wasn't given the amount of attention it deserved from the appropriate staff members, IMO.

I definately agree that the amount of time was lacking for RO. We shouldnt have to email the comp admin to tell him its been over 48 hours since a clan has responded...or if there is a problem posted in the match comm areas. He kept up with ok in the beginning...but that went out the window. Ill admit Im a little bitter about it...ergo the rant...but I enjoyed using the TWL system, and not having to worry about afternoon matches with Euro clans.

Hey Kayos...do they pay there competition admins? Just curious.

Already wondered why the devs suddenly wanted to help the ROladder while they would gain no new players from it as you spammed the roladder forums with. While some devs initially thought the roladder would die out with the coming of twl and clanbase etc.

Looks like TWL is going to try the League setup first...to see if there is enough interest in the game over there. Most of the clans will still compete in the ROL...like us...but it is nice to have an alternative.

They are extending the signup and are gonna change the rules a bit so the smaller clans can compete. So if you havnt got your team signed up for the League, go ahead and give it a try. They still may close the ladders, but it may be worth a shot.

Jeez, what's with the hostilities? They tried - we all tried - with best intentions but in the end, it just didn't work out. Maybe they're not good at running it but at least they tried. If they really didn't care about RO, they wouldn't have started the ladders in the first place. I'm upset as much as everyone else but they do have point: the ladders haven't been all that active - at least not as much as everyone expected. I don't think they have anything against RO and are disappointed just as much as everybody else here. It's one thing to criticize their faults in administrating, but it's another thing to accuse them of never having their hearts in it.

Sorry but in the elitist manner how they spoke of other ladders, and of themselves made me not favour them.

Combined with the startup of decisions that just dont't work in ro. And not listening to the old game community. Only listening to old TWL users that just got the game and played it for a week =\
