I'm still uploading map updates and brand new maps. I'm not complaining.

A couple are Alphas, most are well-developed betas. I've got ten maps that came in within the last 48 hours. Nothing stale about them.

I'm going to try an experiment. Tomorrow's Crucible OGG event will be at 2pm US EST.

Ideal for the UK, but at the end of the two hour period the NA folks are likely to be showing up as well. Because of the sheer size of the map list, I'll run them for an extended period IF participation is better than average. And I'll run them again on Sunday when time zones mesh well again. There is a lot of hard work on the plate that needs exposure. I'll give as many pubbies as possible a chance to taste the bill of fare.

Just as an FYI; I try to get the event map list active about 30 minutes PRIOR to
game time so that folks can get a head start on downloads.

I didn't get chance to play it as we had so many maps and not enought time. :(
Some of these maps are now in mainstream servers,meaning we could focus on the ones that aren't.
They get a much better test on a 64 player server then 10vs10,so testing the ones with obvious bugs and balance issues would help.

I agree with you. Moreover, for an officially 2 hours session, if there were only 2 or 3 maps, maybe the ones who created them would try to be there to see how it goes.

As I did last Thurs, I will extend the play window 3 hours and beyond. I can't supply the public, but I sure as heck can supply the time. Go for the maps you wish to focus on.

While there is still time, suggest the ones you are most interested in, and I'll reduce today's list.

I cant speak for the group, but phosphate and kobura are only in need of full server balancing.
I would say bataan is balanced out as well, but you would have to ask drecks what he thinks.

Thanks for a great Sunday event folks. We had 50 participants at times.
Six maps were available. I found out there are punji stake pits on KitaJima --the hard way. Nasty.

Are we playing the letest version of the maps?
I have made a couple of comments on maps to be told that is fixed in the latest version.
After checking,the latest version was made before we played it! So we either had an older version or the fix didn't work,it would be nice to know.

In case you are wondering I get them solely from redirect (which is painful) so at least I know its the latest version.

:) The only map I was slightly late on was KitaJima. That has gone to v2 and will be featured tomorrow. I check for updates every morning and apply any new ones. Sometimes one comes in late in the day and I don't catch it, but that's rare.

Thanks to everyone who participated yesterday.

The numbers were a little light for a good map
experience, but "Momma said there'd be days like this." :D

Interestingly enough, Crucible recently hit no 37 on the
RS/HOS world scale according to GameTracker. Slowly but
surely, Custom maps are beginning to "stick to the wall"
with a growing number of players. We'll see how it goes. :cool:

I'll post the Thursday schedule sometime later.
