I think having options is the best for the game. And would be the best for our community. Considering how much time we can spend discussing different topics, being for or against this and that feature. Most features in the game should be customizable for the admin.

I have the feeling that map balance (when it comes to TWI's maps) takes into account spawning on squadleader, commisars house being I think one of the prime examples. A tactic i have seen used many times is having a SL get into the lonely house on the russians right flank, and then having people spawn on him. It's valid and works very well. To me it seems this is the main reason they made the feature unrank if turned off considering it might benefit one side of a battle, therefor usually making the're points climb.

You can argue the option is still there even if it unranks but this brings in the issue of how the ranking and upgrade system effects the game. People get stuck into not wanting to waste playing time on unranked servers, i'm sure this is even the case of RO1 vets who will always go towards ranked servers. This because it works as a way of knowing how good and how long you have played the game, giving you maybe more say and respect ingame.

Everyone should be able to choose how they want to play the game and ranking should not limit this, anything that is possible to play in one mode should be possible to play in all other modes, if these modes represent the official way of playing.

Also to those saying RO vets are messing the game up. I have only seen the population of RO2 players going up since most of the changes and updates also I am a RO1 vet yet on many occasions have defended tripwire and been called a tripwire asslicker , its not about being an RO1 vet or not, its about having a logical discussion.
