Hey, this is America. If they can make a version of RO for the eggsbox and make money off of it, more power to em. Doesnt mean that us PC folks have to play on that platform, and it does mean that they will be getting something based on a PC game instead of the other way around (ala any call of doo doo after UO).

I can see no negative here.

TWI is releasing mod support and dedicated server code (unrestricted) right out the gate. They have mods in development right now.

That is more than any developer on the market has done in the last 5 years.

Take a chill pill. TW knows better than to let people control them, they know what they want to do, and that just so happens to be exactly what PC gamers want.

So take a deep breath and support them.

How about EVER? I don't recall any other dev team of a AAA game in history giving this level of mod support. Even the best devs release tools on the first day of release -- let alone BEFORE release.

I agree with the above post this game could last for many years because of the mod tools they are giving us mod after mod will come hopefully someone is doing a world war 1 mod + a Vietnam mod it just shows also how creative the pc community is another reason for my main conversation :).

I am looking forward to making my mod which is got a release of 2012 Christmas or if TW release game before 2011 maybe it could come early 2012 :) all depends when they want the game to come out but taking time is always better then rushing your mod :) and reduces costs also.

Can I just add some opinion of mine:

Releasing multiplatform games onto different platforms is alright, as long as it is done properly. However as tripwire is still quite "young" and is a relatively unknown developer it is best to do what they know is best and what they know is right.

Casual gamers are one of the biggest potential customers out there and you need to somehow get their attention(hype). Yes RO is is a glad that is marketed more towards the hardcore type but there are still alot of casuals who are looking for a step up from the CoD/GoW/Halo type shooters out there and you need to cater them in aswell.

It doesn't matter what some ******(pardon my Irish) at IGN says PC gaming still exists and will always exist and there will still be games (both AAA and otherwise) to fill it's niche.

Double barrel shotguns were used quite extensively by the Russian forces during world war 2 as many many civilians owned them (don't have to worry about arming them), both the guns and the shells were quite easy to produce and maintain, and they were quite effective in trench and house warfare despite the fact that they were quite tedious to handle.

I have high confidence and trust in TWI as they are the type of company that produces high quality gaming no matter what position they are in, unlike some other companies which have the heads up their bums so far they can see what they had for lunch that day.

"blabla Xbox/PS3, blabla Xbox/PS3. Kinect and sh*t blabla xbox/ps3. We're producing toward the consoles and porting to the pc, and it's going pretty well actually"

Few years ago you would be fired on the spot if you said something like this in the open:confused: Based on this the world is indeed gonna end october 2012...

Also, this is planning to have no improvement on visuals on the pc...

Triple lol:D
Me want!!!

I don't understand why lots of people seem to like the XBOX controller. I found it really uncomfortable

I don't understand why the s has become the standard, the first one (the big one) was just right.. and I don't have big hands.
Now you have to squeze your hand to bring all your fingers together (exxagerated and now misspelled, maybe even misspelled is misspelled)

As long as TWI staff members and their families are happy, I hope we'll see a great focus on PC games in the future =).

what kind of logic is that? are you implying that as long as we buy their games they'll stay true to pc? what baloney. if they wanted to be set for life, they'd go console.
