Tried to follow the wiki. Didn't work.
Tried to follow a youtube video, worked for one day, Next day it stopped working.
Tried doing everything again and suddenly it only shows up on LAN instead as a public server.

Player-created launchers are outdated.

Is there really no normal and working way to host a server? Any help would be great...

Make sure to set the portS from the startup command line (check wiki for the command line arguments or switches you can use), don't use the default ports to avoid conflict with Steam/Game because they bind to same default ports so then it creates a mess.
Make sure then the proper fixed non default ports are forwarded from your router to the server machine, make also sure there is no firewall blocking the server on the machine.
Local server will most likely always only show in your LAN tab, ask for friends if they see it in server browser or use external website to see if they can reach it (gametracker for example, or similar website, like RIP previously SkillServer query tool page)
