i understand that it is difficult/impossible to have destructible terrain and buildings... but please at least do trees... its not like there are that many ways for a tree to blow up... i was playing a game the other day and arty was coming down in a forest and i thought how cool it would look it the trees were toppling over with shattered trunks... i think it would add a bit of immersion... think like band of brothers

i know its not the best or most important idea ever but i thought i would share it with u guys anyways

It would be nice to see massive locations that can be destroyed by HE/Satchels/Tanks driving over them. For infantry fire and grenades etc. nothing like that would need to happen.

I'm expecting in HOS with its new engine for this to be possible, in RO where tanks were stopped by just a small tree was just ridiculous!

Also, having "active" destructable cover is something very wanted in any shooter game which takes place within an urban environment, especially one covering such a protracted struggle as Stalingrad was. Atomic Game's Breach is going to have this type of featured ability, so that things like firing holes can be created during gameplay, allowing players to create their own defensive positions by improving their own cover/firing points.

A bit from the recent preview on Breach:

"To show me how versatile the destruction is, Peter shot individual bricks out of a wall giving him just enough of a view overlooking a road at an angle. By doing this, Peter gained a full field of fire on a major through way, but kept himself mostly covered.
The games "Active Cover" system is also extremely powerful, allowing players to take cover as new cover is created by the destruction. The Rifleman class gets breaching charges, which can create holes in walls. Players can take cover on the new corner created next to the hole after the charge explodes."

Destructible terrain is a huge selling point for any FPS.

Unreal 3.5 has some of the nicest destructible environments I've ever seen.

I'd buy a new comp for it.

that lego blockland is unplayable without a hardware physX card, and I guess that it cannot work online either due to replication issues ;). Aka before you get there in any online game we'll all be needing 10mbit synchronous connection speed i'd guess.
