"Training" ala America's Army for key roles

I like the idea very much.
I've started playing Red Orchestra just a few weeks ago and it was a higher level of gameplay as in other games. So..they got me killed everytime before I even used my iron sight. (sort of speaking)
But I like the game very much so I've played it a while by now and i'm getting more experienced by now. Still, I recognize many noobs on the field losing the game because of stupid decisions, newb aiming & totally using the wrong class. A training would be great for the upcoming RO so many newbs will get the touch from it a lot better before they come up on the battlefields.
BUT: Many players (call of duty addicts for example) will leave the game immediately because the level of gameplay is to high. (like what happened with the first game), but actually.. I wouldn't care, if I have one server with a good map and a lot of players I would be cool. But the community would be "dead"..and fast.
But I quit my yada-yada, I think Tripwire should add this! *thumbs up*

The more I play Darkest Hour mod, the more im in favour of training. I just hate inexperinced players in key roles.

Imagine being allocated 2 anti tank infantry slots, both of which are filled with inexperienced players who dont know how to operate the AT weapon effectively. Your team has basically being stripped of its ability to fight any anti-tank armour as no more players can take up the role as it is filled by the players who dont know what their doing. In which case the enemy armour will rip through your teams infantry, destroying any possible chance of winning, any resistance is futile as the enemy armour will block any infantry advances.

To sum it up. Training to unlock key roles is needed for HoS. Player can spend 5, 10 or 15 minutes for hundreds hours of multiplayer gameplay.

However training shouldn't look like that from like Americas Army. Easier and more accessible, splitted into two parts:
- Basic training (which can be skipped), including only the RO game basics, mechanics for standard soldiers. Player with or without this training can play as rifleman and SMG soldier @ multiplayer only.
- Advanced training (cannot be skipped), including specific training and tutorials for key roles. Needed to unlock: sniper, sapper, AT specialist, Squad Leader, Tanker, Tank Commander.

Player also can receive awards/achevments/ranks (depends how it will look like in HoS) for being success in those trainings.

In SP mode player can use and practice all available weapons for his own.

I agree, pretty much what I said before though but I agree.

I am Nox, and I approve of this message.

Plus, with all the fuss over achievements (I never got into it but it seems everyone else has) people will probably ENJOY the challenge of having to complete a difficult sniper training.

Thanks for approve, feeling good with that ^^.

Seriously, there will be big bunch of players who pass all trainings just to unlock some achievements on steam. I know people who are very addicted into it. However it's mostly up to TWI, how they do this.

Still do not like players being excluded from the "important" roles.

I'm all in for encouragement...

Roles are opened for everyone, but those with additional training can get priority. Perhaps implementing the "basic training" in the single player as well.
