Indeed, you didn't read the info I posted at all, it's all in there.
What support is, how big those groups are. Even an example of an attack on the railwaymen's house. etc.

Supporter: AT rifles, LMG's/HMG's, Flamethrowers, Riflemen and SMG'ers.
It's all in there, just seriously read it.

P.S. If you were thinking I meant football supporters, you must be out of your mind...

football supporters really? Also you have yet to prove there was more smgs/semis than bolt action simply because you cant. The majority of frontline soldiers still had bolt-action. So maybe you should seriously read my post and answer them completely instead of just answering part of it. Also I like how the recoil is now, maybe more sway is needed but thats another argument, but since these weapons are a whole lot better, they should be limited at least a bit further.

far too many

furthermore, in RO1/Darkest hour, SMGs were difficult to use. They're MUCH easier to use in RO2. This isn't a realism issue, it's a FUN issue. I liked it when rifles were more powerful

Sad thing is, thats probably what they would call a "bolt map" now. We have 2 more squad leaders now, another MG + a commander and smg's and semis with low recoil/sway and higher accuracy + suppression. And its easier to pick stuff up and carry 2 at a time

This is for 32 players. For 64 version it will probably look different, especially when you haven't got a full server

Too bad the loudest whiners get what they want. Because that change sucks.

There's still anywhere between 6 Semis and 8 SMGs on the map at any one time.

Besides, more bolts just means that all that practice I've been putting into them is going to make me into a sharpshooting god when all those little Assault chaps realize they don't have automatic fire.

You know that the whiners point about class limitations wasn't about realism but about making RO2 like RO1. Now they are targetting the "Elite Rifleman" class and demanding it's removal. I doubt they'll stop before this game has been turned a RO1 carbon copy.

Just saying. I've been arguing to keep the RO2 features the same since the beta launched, and this is the one thing I couldn't argue against. RO1 was a bolt fest, and it was a better game for it. Perhaps the lack of rapid-fire weapons WILL encourage the run-and-gun crowd to settle down and play right or find another game that satisfies their need for action.

Bolts are quite good, believe it or not, especially if you dig up a bayo for them. I'm looking forward to actually being able to pull off bayo charges without getting sprayed by assault fire or picked off by a semi-auto.

And RO1 wasn't a bad game. It was, in fact, quite a good one. There are PLENTY of features that set RO2 apart from RO1 (for the better, across the board).

Just be chill and learn to use the bolt. I've been using it almost exclusively (unless I'm playing Squadleader) since the beta started, and it is one of the better weapons if you know how to use it.

I've been mostly using SMG since I enjoy capturing objectives instead of staying behind and sniping. Many objectives are buildings so it's logical to choose SMG for that task.

You know, whats so sad about that? We all love RO1, if it becomes RO1 with better graphics, im more than happy!

You can exclude me from that group. RO2 is much better game. While I agree that RO1 vets should be offered "RO1 mode" I don't think it should be shoved down everybodys throats.

Agreed.... back in RO1 I kind of dispised having to be stuck as a rifleman, where if there was any other class avaiable, I'd take it in a heartbeat.... now in RO2, I'm selecting the rifleman often, even when other classes are available.

The freedom to choose is good :) If people don't want to bolt then they shouldn't have to, and vice versa.

Equally if a group want to run a 'penal' server and restrict classes, they should be able to do that too
, but choice should never be removed from everyone in a group because a certain number of people want it that way.

+1

RO2 is superior in every way to ROOST. Sorry guys, but it is.

And I do enjoy the game how it plays right now. It's fast paced, fun, and very challenging.

THAT BEING SAID, balance in RO comes from the management of available classes. As long as they aren't nerfing guns or adding unrealistic bullet spread, sway, or recoil, I'm okay with this being tweaked to add balance.

Besides, now that you can actually HIT things with the bolts from a reasonable distance, they're a lot more fun to play.

Or maybe the elite RIFLEMAN class was never supposed to have access to an SMG ...? It was likely unintentional, and now it's fixed. Tripwire doesn't bend to the will of the whiners, that's pretty clear. If they did, the game would be damn near unrecognizable from what it was when open beta started.

Bolts were arguably the best guns in Ostfront. It just took a bit more care from the player to take a shot. You could rest it on objects, change stance, or get used to the sway and move your mouse to compensate

It wasn't like you just camped because you had a bolt, you were supposed to move up and attack. With fewer SMG's and semis it made for more fun combat for bolting in short to mid range

Again, you're dealing with a player that was late to the ROOST party. I got out-sniped 10/10 times during my short stint with ROOST.

Besides, now that I have a bayo in RO2, nothing will stop my fierce assaults...
