Simple poll here, do you guys think ('cause I strongly do), that SMG's and semi-autos should be more restricted?

I mean comon', you got like 6 assault slot per team, that means 6 SMG's.
Then you got 3 or 4 elite riflemen slots, which can choose either Semi-auto rifles or SMG's for some reason.

Then you got again 4 squad leaders, and 1 commander slot, which are also SMG's/Semi-auto classes.

Do the math, 28 SMG's semi-autos running around cod-style shooting like craze gunmen. (14 per team)

Comon' you've seen them ingame, there's not many room left for good old bolt riflemen. All he can do is camping, wait outside 'till his own Smg's semi guys clear the building.

Custom maps will see the balance adjusted as per mapper's discretion.

But to OP; agree, somewhat.

The problem is that many of the semi-autos and automatics are about as accurate as a laser rifle. Bolt actions are very unrewarding, part of it seems to be the tight maps, the rest of it seems to be game design.

Quite nice, had the pleasure to kill and get killed by you today. :)

Adding the possibility to pick up a SMG/Semi additional to any other primary weapon (as I have done often today in Barracks, so I could use my weapon of choice for what distance I was attacking), the dominance of them are quite heavy for what I have seen in the beta till now.

Gameplay balance is fine. Know your limits as a class and play to your strengths. More SMG troops means more chuckleheads who are unable to return fire when I start pinging bullets off their friends.

I never ran into that problem, on the contrary, even on 60+ populated players i found that the assault class was free. However that is maybe because i was mainly playing on fallen fighters where smgs are practically useless.

Yes, the balance is all to cock. 90% of players should be armed with bolt-action rifles and grenades. That's it.

It's not an issue unless you are bad and cannot play with bolt action rifles. I am starting to like bolt action a lot more than SMG or Semi-autos.

Bolt is actually my go-to at the moment. While semi-autos offer a higer RoF and SMGs are the up-close kings, I enjoy the bolt game a lot more. It helps me conserve ammo, makes me a lot more careful and conservative with my shots, and helps me keep from giving away my position.

I'm determined to play rifleman till I'm unstoppable at it.
