Well, the game's been out for a little while and I just beat it yesterday.
Actually quite enjoyed it. The story is decent, game mechanics work quite well (aside from the one I'm going to talk in length about below), graphics are very nice (and I hear it's amazing in 3D), level design is a mix of open environments and more linear paths (a nice variety tbh).
And now on to the negatives. The QTE's really bothered me. There are a fair bit of scripted scenes where you gotta hit E or F at a certain time, or spam A and D. You sort of learn to expect them and they become less annoying as you get further into the game.
At first tho, when you don't know you might be asked to quickly press a button during a scripted scene, you'll find yourself dying a fair bit. Luckily the auto save is usually quite forgiving, since it seems as if they expect you to fail the QTE's at least once (great gameplay, I know

).
In close range combat you can press Shift to dodge and then hit F at the right time to either do a one hit kill or cripple your enemy. In long range combat there luckily are no QTE's.
The biggest issue for me tho, much like in Far Cry 3, is the fact that all boss battles are either partially of fully based on QTE's.
(slight spoilers ahead, but not really)
To kill the mini boss before the final boss, all you need to do is Shift dodge his attack, shoot him in the back, which causes him to fall to his knees, after which a big F button flashes over his head so you can QTE him. Rinse and repeat a couple of times and he's dead. What's more, the same mechanic is used on another mini boss just a few areas back. So it's not even like the final mini boss is unique.
And guess what, the actual final boss fight comes down to pressing E and F at the right time. Yup. No control over your character at all, just a short scripted QTE sequence.
The game would get a 8/10 from me, but due to the QTE's, it's a 6/10. So, if you are able to look past the QTE's, the game is really worth playing, but if you feel you'd be bothered by them, it's not worth the full retail price.
