Cali.
The bloat is slow, fat, tough and pukes acidic bile.

The crawlers are quick, low to the ground and can jump at you from long distances.

I find that KF is really similar to L4D. I mean that didn't have to use the same classes by doing so, it's going to remind me of L4D when Im playing it. I think they should have come up with more original classes.....

You do know killing floor came before l4d so if anything its the other way round. Also where do you think l4d got its idea's, it got them from movie's and other games like Kf, the very idea that the classes and general premise in l4d is original is laughable.

Classic. Who created whom indeed. :) Valve was nice enough to borrow the "classes" and change the names somewhat.

If fat and puking zombies were owned by anyone, I think RE probably had them both long before either KF or L4D.

Gamers argue over the silliest things.

Better keep those links handy once KF goes live. We'll be needing them to show to all the "uninformed" on Gamespot and everywhere else :p

Actually, Vavle supported and helped Tripwire make KF, said so in Overview of KF on website

L4D also had concept art for a siren ripoff.

It seems incredibly clear that they blatantly ripped off KF's designs..

but the very original ideas of the monsters were from a mod that was developed back in 2005-ish... that was way before valve even stepped in to help out in the retail version...

or at least based on my understanding...

i'm not bashing L4D... that game is good... hats off to L4D's fun gameplay... but at least don't go around bashing KF...

Wow so if KF came out earlier, as a stand alone game, it could have been as popular as L4D, before L4D came out??

not sure if i'm reading too much out of that but i sense sarcasm....

but assuming that u're not being sarcastic...

well... who knows... maybe? maybe not? differnt style of game from wut i can see... the game seems promising tho... judging by the concepts of gameplay... the atmosphere...

most importantly... so many ppl can play this game even if they dotn' have a very powerful PC... and the low price also...

Nah. Sure Valve helps market the mod and stuff, but...

It comes down to that Valve is a well known and respected developer by the community at large. It had TV ad's, lots of word of mouth, and alot more advertising done on Steam.

For example, CoH is a **** game compared to MoW, but CoH has tons of advertising and is by a well known(but not really respected) company and is widely played compared to MoW, which doesn't have a really big name and not respected at all(even detested somewhat), so it goes largely unoticed.

That's how things go in the world. Also, that concept art? It's not a rip off of the Siren, it would be a guy in a straightjacket who screams, runs, and calls in hordes on you and you have to hurry to kill him as he runs away.

Siren screams & it hurts you and can bite you, quite different really. Not that much alike.
