Tis Better to Give Than Recieve

So like, I'm one greedy bastard and I haven't managed to get this achievement back in 2010, and I'm trying to get it right now. I was on Moonbase on a listen server and I dropped an M14, where he killed zeds with it.

This didn't count to my achievement progress.

Now since I absolutely loathe playing on public servers to get this achievement done in my own time, I want to minimize experimentation.

Under what circumstances and with what weapons will get this achie done for me?

The new zedestroyer (don't remember the name) that has to be build on moonbase applies, I gave mine to a player who didn't get the achievment so he could have fun with it and it got me a increase in Better to give than receive.

I played on beginner and acquired a SCAR and M32, dropped those, bought a LAW, dropped that.

Husk Cannon and the M14 worked for me.

ZED and SCAR work just fine, I've heard people having luck with the m32 as well.

I got it along with my mates. I tried it with three SCARs at first, but it did not work for some reasons, three M14s did unlock the achievment then afterwards.

Taking idea from that post... So, you kill stuff with M14 then at the trader you drop it on the ground, then at the same trader time you buy 2 more and drop them on the ground to unlock the achievement? Simply, buying different weapons, doesn't work at all or it does work but you have to kill at least one zed in the wave?

Its not like juggling act, which is to just drop X amount of Y tier weapons in a single wave. This achievement requires you to drop a total of 3 tier 3 weapons over any span of time and some other player has to pick it up and get at least one kill with it. It doesn't have to be the same weapon, it doesn't have to be in a single wave, single game or in a single session, it just a total in the lifetime.

I've got it now!

I didn't get any luck with the M14 when I tried, but mysteriously "losing" my SCAR on a beginner server did wonders. I feel like I can confirm that the ZED gun counts too.

Go to the Nearest Boosting server [Or, If you don't want to cheat.] Ask some Friends to Join the Nearest Empty Server and drop them a Husk Gun, An AA12, and a SCAR. After they killed least 3 zeds, BAM! Achievement Unlocked.
