Too bad I'd started getting my hopes hope seeing the direction Deus Ex is taking...

I'm waiting to see how much the game apes Assassin's Creed, or how much it tries to go do its own thing. Some Assassin's Creed wouldn't be bad...but too much and it would lose the charm of the exploration and puzzle solving Thief offered.

^I honestly couldn't care less about that... I didn't understand the uproar. But then again I only got into Thief like... 6 years ago and some of these people have been obsessed with it for far longer .

Article? You mean the, by his own admission, "feverish" analysis of a single photographed screen of whatever WIP version of the game it's taken from?
I'll wait with my panic attack until I get to see a little more.

I loved all three of the old ones. First one best and it still gives the creeps, second one second because it was basically the same game but less horrific and the third one third. Mainly because the loading times annoyed me. Was a great game though. Great atmosphere.

i always thought Thief 2 was the best of the series. As a standalone game Thief 3 wasn't terrible but in comparison to the previous two it was a hugly disappointing. I personally don't mind third person, if it plays anything like the first three Splinter Cell games then it could be good. However I'm not raising my hopes
