Description: This bug only appears when ingame. I have no gfx distortions when in game menu/options menu when on a server. SCREENSHOTS in the attachment.
Online/Offline: online
RO2 video settings:
Aspect Ratio: 16:10 ; Resolution: 1680 x 1050 ; Graphics quality: Custom ; Post Processing Preset: Normal ;
Use VSync [X] ; Full Screen [X] ; Use Hardware Physics [ ] ; Graphics advanced all high; Ambient Occlusion & Framerate Smoothing is OFF
software: Windows XP SP3 / 32 bit ; antivir (anti virus software running in the background)
hardware:
-Mainboard: GigaByte GA-870A-UD3
-RAM: 4 GB DIMM DDR3 (Windows XP uses 3.25 GB)
-CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 450 (3.21 GHz)
-GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450
DXDIAG log in the attachment.
EDIT2: after playing today, bug is still there.

You guys might want to try this, even though it's a PITA... I know.
I did a complete uninstall of NVidia drivers (already at latest ver), rebooted and deleted the install dir (program files\NVidia), also some left-over Nvidia files in Windows to be safe. Reinstalled driver and haven't had a problem with these artifacts the last time I played.
EDIT: nevermind, my game still looks like Robot Unicorn Attack:

By the way, I updated my rig to Win7 and it fixed this.

Not to imply that this is the case because so many of you are experiencing the problem, but I have had older Nvidia cards do very similar things shortly before they died. Never overheated either.
Only happens in RO, and the card is in great condition. No other issues with it.
No, this is an RO2 specific bug...

Same here , and I have the latest drivers and directx , there are no temperature problems ...
XP SP3 , Nvidia 9800 GT 1024 mb ,
I agree , in the past my old Nvidia 9500 had similar problem while playing The Witcher , sooner I had too a lot of blue screens and in a few weeks my card died ... the card never overheated but it was always working at his top capacity while playing The Witcher as now my card is working at top capciti while playing RO2 ...
Maybe I'm wrong and this thing is due to another problem , but if is something similar maybe soon some of us will have to buy a new card ...

My rainbows are gone , today I was playing with the Nvidia Control Panel , I just changed all 3D configuration for RO2 (only for RO2 , you can select a specifical progran at the 3D configuration section ) . Originally all options were configurated under the "Global configuration" mode (language system for me is in spanish , so I'm translating the best I can the options names) , I just change all to the recomended for the Nvidia Card , the recomended options has a Nvidia icon at his side . Most of the predeterminated options and the Nvidia recomend wre the same for me , but one or two were different (I cant remember wich options) and after the changes when I launched RO2 the rainbow was gone and I also noticed a little bit better performance during gameplay .

In fact, the NVidia recommended setting was the same as the global one, so it didn't change anything really.
I'll try to experiment with some of the settings though, I usually stick with globals for all games but have a slight suspicion AA might be a problem, will try turning it off.

Oh that's bad ... anyway ...toay I have noticed that the rainbows are still on my game but now they only apper in the darkes area of the maps . It's very strange , before the changes the rainbow thing was present during all gameplay , but after the changes now it only appears when I enter a dark area , a really ark area , not just a shadowed area ... so strange , I think I'll try to change some options later because I think that this problem is related to the grapchi card options .
