There are rainbows in my game

At the bottom of the screen my monitor renders rainbows and black stuff. I have a similar problem in UDK where I have a small black area but as you can see in RO2 it's much worse. I have no problems with other games. It seems to be independent of what resolution my screen is at.

It might be your graphics card/drivers going weird. Check to see if the temps look normal.

I have this same issue, too. My GPU isn't overheating when I do this, it's running at around 65C. I'm on an XPSP3 system with an nvidia 8800GT

Ahem, right. It would be beneficial to know the driver version you are running, card type, system specs, etc... so that others that have the same issue might be able to find a common thing and narrow down the possible cause.

Ingame settings would also help.

Exactly the same here, and no sign the card is getting too hot, although that was my first suspicion. I thought my card was dying It might be a problem with NVidia cards running on WinXP from the other reports, anyone running Vista/7 or ATI getting this?

I have pretty recent drivers, but will have to check later if there are any newer.

Specs:
WinXP sp3, Intel something something Quad 2.8Ghz, 4GB Ram
GTX580 with 1.5GB.

My problem was on WinXP. I JUST upgraded to 7 last night. I'll report if the bug persists after the OS upgrade.

I found a temp fix. If you see the rainbow in game go to the settings click run in window then unclick it. It should work BUT this is just a temp fix! Tripwire needs to resolve this.:IS2:

Yep.. tested and proved (for me)


change your game resolution to match your screens native and all the pretty rainbows will go away..

Just adding my screenshot to this also.

Winxp 32, amd quad, nvid 9800, latest drivers. 1680x1050 16:10 native. This problem occurs at native resolution.
