I was messing with the stats/perks using a memory editor, and I changed the values around.
Every time the map changes, or if I re-log into the game, the stats will revert back to it's previous state. So whatever steam uses to store the data, that keeps sticking your old perk info into the game. So unless we can get around that, then we're stuck without getting a reset.
It's what happens when you re-install the game, and steam cloud or whatever gives you your stats back. I looked in the userdata of my Steam folder, but couldn't find much data of relation to that, (maybe I didn't look hard enough), so maybe you guys (the people that want their stats reset) can look around in those files/folders and see what you can find.
