Paying attention by watching the video, not by reading psycho's post... *sigh* I don't know why you going nuts just because I want to help and point out some things which are a thing without a doubt!

The only one fanboy who's going nuts is really you, because you created so much god damn threads about your whining where you dont like something in Rising Storm 2 Vietnam. Getting sick of you.

Alan mentioned in the interview, that the studio will conduct several alpha and beta stages later this year. Can we expect that you call in people who tested RS to help this time? :)

Don't laugh, but we were actually asked if we wanted to take over the misery that was "Stargate Resistance" in the brief period between it's "release" and the company's closure!

Smart move :D

The guy pulling the trigger. Check your backblast.

After bags of candy, we will have candy sticks, can't wait :IS2: Scharfe Bombe

If anyone is being a troll around here its you. Most of your posts serve to antagonize rather than offer any insight...

Here the video again so you don't have to scroll to see the spots I've marked here: https://youtu.be/khniy5ZHELc

First off: Really nice new first person animations. Who's the animator on the forum? I really want to say thank you.. they are awesome!

And the blood and gore at 1:58 in the video is really cool. I really like how the severed hands started falling at the same position where the first person viewmodel was. Might be coincidence though. Looks really good in motion!

I've noticed that the mantling-notice vanished and reappeared a couple of times eventhough the player wasn't really moving aside from looking around like at 2:20. This could result in accidently jumping instead of mantling. I think it would be better if the radius by the trigger is larger and the maxmium angle is at like 90

If you don't like my threads then ignore them. If you're sick of me then ignore me. It's totally your right not liking my posts but leave me alone and don't attack me. There is nothing you can archieve with that.

The "jerky and laggy player animations" weren't laggy nor jerky, that's player and world collision at work... Before you say something like this, look closer, it immediately stops after he is passed the cabinet of files.
Laggy and jerky movement only happens in third person viewing, in all my hundreds upon hundreds of hours I've never, ever noticed it in first person. 90% sure it has to do with actor ticking per frame and replication to clients.
I know that e.g. the mantling animation and the 3rd person player animations are different "construction sides". But the result is similar and can be described with jerky and laggy movement. There is a german saying where you try to hit two flies with one flyswatter. Thats what I wanted to do with my last sentence in my post but appearantly this led to confusion. Sorry!

Vehicles aren't quite as volatile as that mod (or Michael Bay movies) would have you believe.
Doesn't really answer my question of having the ability of fragging cars with powerful explosives like artillery and RPGs

I can see it can add to the tension in RS2 of giving the urban maps a sense of danger of hiding behind cars that could blow up in your face from an RPG rocket. Or for that matter get demolished from artillery, which i think could add to the "battle aftermath feel"

Even the multiplayer focused Call of Duty franchise had that since Call of Duty 4.

Destruction of certain objects like cars, trees and client side physics on small objects like cans, bottles, magazines and stones would be a really nice addition. But I know that it's not possible to go the frostbite-route and even small destruction features are very expensive.

In RO2/RS it was possible to destroy certain walls, road blocks and objects. I actually like the direction where this is going but there's something wrong with it. Firstly, their is no real destruction-effect and you could actually see perfectly how the destroyed and the non-destroyed object has been swapped out. And secondly, which is even worse imo, there is some kind of delay when using explosive satchels. Like a huge time-gap between the satchel-explosion and the destruction. The same with player-kills.

The hollywood style shooter had hollywood style explosions? Funny that.

Yes please leave the HUD as limited as possible. The T button is there for a reason, if needed someone can press it to display HUD, otherwise I think it would be best to have minimal HUD or at least have it as an option.

As it stands now there are instances when my map is upside down and it's one of those little things that annoys me. Will this be done properly in rs2, so that my indicator arrow on the map is always pointing/moving in the same direction as my character ? Right now it's unintuitive and confusing seeing my arrow moving down the map, when I'm moving forward or moving left when I'm actually moving right...Why has this never been fixed ?

Thanks

Pretty much a no, and that would cause havoc with replication costs.consider this, in RO2, 90% of objects in game are static meshes, 8% BSP (this has nothing to do with replication) .75% staticmesh dedtructibles, and .25% dynamic meshes if at all. Small stuff client side is safe, like kicking a can around, having a ton of large objects that are dynamic is another thing entirely.

Is this more of an add-on/mod for RS/RO2 or is there more to it ?
How ambitious is this project really ? I mean, a couple of modders can only do so much...
