Sounds like aard spam isn't guilty pleasure tactic anymore. :p
That was only useful until about chapter 2 anyway, then igni spam was much more useful after that point :IS2:

Also re: the question of censorship, as far as I know it's only Australia that it got cut for, oh and New Zealand because distributors always lump them in with us even though they have R18 (feel sorry for those guys).

I have a question, I want to upgrade my rather ailing 260GT to something better for this game and others. I want to stay nvidia as I have had nothing but bad experience with ATI and driver issues. I am kind of stumped between three choices, they are;

Cheap: 560 Ti
Less cheap: 560 Ti Super Clocked
Moderately pricy: 570GT

The difference between my cheap and pricy options in most stores here is $100, what do you guys reckon? Is the extra $100 worth it to get the 570?

I found aard to be nearly gamebreaking even though that was probably due the fact it was the only thing where I maxed all talent trees (steel strong and strenght being tiebreakers on 2nd spot). I once managed to crash a game after literally stunning total 10x enemies stacked in front of me with fully loaded aard. At one point I pretty much ceased to use it unless the targeting system was being an arse in order to keep bit more challenge. :p

(small spoiler from W1)

Spoiler!

Nevertheless I hope my rig arrives by the end of the week so I can get The Witcher 2 started at some point.

I maxed aard and igni out, my main gripe with aard was that whilst fully loaded it would stun/knockdown a whole heap of enemies by the time you did a finishing move on one of them the others had regained their composure. Kind of felt like a waste, whereas igni fully loaded would incinerate most of the group leaving half of them standing there screaming and burning, which is not only funny but also useful when you can keep attacking them all while they are writhing and burning :D

It's especially funny when you can kill a handful of drowners with one blast as well.

A pic, not a game spoiler, so don't be afraid to open. :p

Spoiler!

On my second playthrough now. Gonna reverse every choice I made in my first playthrough. Already quite a few things have turned out differently.

What res and processor you running?

Always go for the fastest card; the 570 is great. I was gonna get one myself and spent an extra

MSI 560 GTX Ti Twin Frozr is a good start and the price is same as the normal 560 GTX Ti except with better cooler and slightly overclocked. 570 GTX on the other is only 3 - 5 FPS faster which isn't worth for that kind of price...

I'm running a 560Ti factory OC'ed from MSI and it runs the game beautifully at 1080p. In fact, it'd probably run even better if my CPU and other hardware weren't a bottleneck.
