i'm certain all the files are in their proper places. i load several other muts with the launcher too and they all load fine but this one and the admin + mut, they are both reported unknown muts in the server log. is there a limit how many can be loaded from that batch file?

i don't know why this took 12 hours to post but it seems other messages have buried it and people have moved on or perhaps i'm asking for too much... ...can someone offer me some direction here please?

hi

i have a problem. the shiver wont show up in the mutator menu in the game.
is it possible that are files missing?
i compared the content with the brute mutator and found that there is a KFBruteMut.u and a KFBruteMut.ucl
in the shiver pack i found a MutAddShivers.u but no MutAddShivers.ucl

what i am doing wrong?
i need to have this wonderful zed in my game.

When does TW release next update? (please, don't just go now to "when they gonna add the new whitelist)
They haven't given any hints to when it will be but I assume maybe end of this month or by the end of next month. I only know this because TW are asking for updating their mutator whitelist which this shiver and a few other things are going up for but they also have said about Ash the new character. Now I know that with Ash, it will be released first as exclusive to the gold KF package but will soon be released as DLC in August so giving them a month ahead with the character sounds reasonable to me for timing. We will have to see how things go. Sorry but I can't give a straight answer till we get one from TW themself.

If so then I think it'd be 1st of June, together with the female character release, as in update will be the voices at least and the model, right? :confused:

I was having the same issue. I took the "MutAddShivers.ucl" out of an older release (1.2?) and used it. Seems to work just fine.

Review

Yesterday made some testings on Shiver and I must say you've made an excellent specimen, that perfectly fits into KF's world and filled the gap, because imo vanilla game lacks medium-health fast type of zed. Good job, guys!

But one thing bothers me. Shiver has constant base health set to 650hp, which isn't scaled through the number of players. Because of this, Shivers are too powerful in solo mode imo (have more HP than Husk).

I'm suggesting to set base health to 300hp, but add 20% HP per player (PlayerCountHealthScale=0.2). This will make them more balanced in solo mode and 2-3 player games, but in 6p HoE game Shiver's body will still have a lot of health: 1050hp (600 * 1.75).

I actually think this would be a better suggestion than brute for official use... it fills a much needed gap.... something that can close the gap and wreck potential camp sights without being uncontrollable....my only issue with the brute is that we have alot of the bigger zeds but nothing thats is just sheerly for distraction or diversion and your shiver fills the need with flying colours.

I have two custom versions of the Shiver. I have the standard Shiver with lower health (300) and they are so much better during gameplay as they use to be tanks.

Played with this for quite a lot of time, and the conclusion is:

They spawn too much and/or have WAAAAAY too much health. I mean, it's almost in the HUSK category of health! Imo, it should be between Clot and Gorefast (Basehealth for those are 130 and 250 respectively, so maybe 200 for the Shiver, with similar scaling as the Gorefast?). As it is right now, it makes perks like Firebug and Demolitions absolutely worthless against them.

Oh and ontop of this, I dropped their spawn rate and when they spawn. They now spawn casually and don't touch any spawns to do with the Stalkers. Stalkers spawn abo****ely 100% of the time now.

Oh, there is the problem, why there are so many Shiver. Yesterday on Biohazard MutKillMessage mutator showed me +11 Shiver kills (!) and it was only wave 2 or 3 of 4-player HoE game! Sometimes you can get 4-5 Shivers teleported around you, which leads to instant death. Thank you for the info. Can I get your version of Shiver to install on my server please?

Supports and Demolitions should be weak against them imo.

As it for firebug, I'd suggest to disable Shiver's teleporting ability while burning. Otherwise firebug always ends up with bunch of Shivers at his face, wasting tons of fuel.

I still havent been able to find a server with this shiver. SOunds interesting though. As for the firebug being able to disable the shivers teleporting ability when burning, I could go for that, afterall, its focused on being on fire, rather than teleporting anywhere else
