I played with him some times, not much at all but I still have some impressions and ideas. Oh this time, I'm not suggestion something that could look like nerfing it at all for any perk or even hoping that you would alter him according to my suggestions. I'm just sharing the ideas I got from playing him for further inspiration for anyone who reads it. Enjoy!

I believe the aim was for the Shiver to be another low tiered zed that had its own quirk, the changes you state would more than likely place it in the Siren/Husk zone rather than the clot/stalker/gorefast zone.

Seriously I did write exactly how weak it is and I understand that it was meant to be weak. I said I just don't have an interest in trash zeds that doesn't make the game any better.

You are trying to explain my own post to me. It makes me feel like this ":mad:".
Don't do that, because I already understand my own post.

The brute had a purpose, noble goals about balancing the perks for more perk types to be used. This does not apply to the shiver thus he feels unnecessary IMO.

Or is it just that everyone thinks "He is teleporting, cool! I want him!" without a need? Some diversity in the gene pool is nice maybe?

What I did mention in my post:

The Qshiver was supposed to be another, new and different zed.

No I won't explain every sentence because the behavior of the Qshiver is very very qomplex. Apparently.
Also it doesn't matter, Qshiver was designed to be extreme, just a wild idea I wanted to share for those who likes that kind of thing. And he would need a new name if someone was qrazy enough to implement him.

I've read the thread and he seems to have been nerfed a lot. Maybe I played him on a way too easy difficulty but to me his teleport isn't any different to play with than a charging gorefast. He is hard to outrun but I can just chop his head of with my katana when he arrives.

Its main feature is the ability to sneak up on a player very quickly, without the delayed approach of the gorefast, and without the poor invisibility of the stalker. I guess you won't really be surprised by it if you're expecting it, but I think it's pretty effective when it's hidden behind a crowd and suddenly it appears in your face. It may be that the teleporting needs some adjusting to be more effective.

Ideas, sharing because I feel like it. This is a completely new zed I'm talking about but I qall him Qshiver because of similarities.

I like the idea of it being able to teleport to a player, attack them, and teleport away again, although not so much the idea of it taking the player with them since apart from the technical difficulties I think it could have disastrous consequences for the player, which you wouldn't expect from a fairly common enemy. If it were about as rare as a scrake or fleshpound it'd probably be more appropriate like that. I've thought about making him take advantage of bigger enemies for cover, and if I find time I'll try that out and see how it works.

I now rename Qshiver to....... the Abduqtor! This is purely to make it easier to separate her (Abduqtor is now female) from the shiver, it's previous name was just too qonfusing even for me :D.

Using quote tags to separate shiver from abduqtor in this post to make it qlear.

My animations/textures are gathering dust, and Ive put allot of work in those. Tell me when we can finish these final products. :)

Aye, I think most of the community has been waiting for those :)
And i like like shiver how it is now, but another similar zed designed to be a bigger threat might not be terrible.

Improved teleporting and fixed the fire texture effect. Have submitted it for whitelisting/greylisting. Enjoy!

Nah when I use to use this specimen, it use to almost stop the Stalker from spawning (shrinkage) so I had to remove it so Commando's could level up.
Oh, that's just terrible :eek:
Wait, actually why not make Shivers count as Stalkers then? :confused:

EDIT: Wait, you removed it so commandos could lvl up...? But Shiver is not whitelisted yet... right...?

I use this on my custom server as I control how all the perks are designed etc. I did think of adding Shivers to count towards the leveling but they spawn too often to keep the level challenging as it should.

Maybe add a 0 in the end of required number of them? ;)
By that I mean for example instead of 10 make it 100 :D

You are doing what TWI had to do a long time ago: add new Zeds in to make the game less boring and easy.

Well i rarely post in these forums because there isn't much to post about, but i have read almost everything you guys have said and wow...i nver thought a community could get this fu**** up so badly from both company and all other sides.

And i don't say this to offend anyone, but i think that creators of projects (like you guys here) should get a bit more respect than you have, since you make mods and other addons for games which isn't included in updates which also proves that you don't receive any credits for your work.

If the companies really cared for their fans and players they really should put in these mods into the game itself and thus you have the ability to choose if you want to use them or not, since some doesn't want mods and only want to play the original and ofc, they have to get your permission to add them.

But enough of that. You guys have made an incredible great work, i got the brute installed on my Dedicated server which is on 24/7 except if something happens, im also using some other mods like IJC for more weapons since i think that KF needs more guns to blast all the creeps with.

And when all your mods included The Shiver is whitelisted which i hope it will be very soon, i will install it on the dedi server too.

And last but not least, you guys are great and the thing that you don't care about the community is bull****, literally, since you DO care about the community and you guys releasing more mods/addons is one proof.
And the second proof is talking to others, thanking them for the feedback which is obvious you listen to and take into consideration is also a proof that you care, even though you might not care as much since there are many morons around.

You guys are doing a brilliant work, you know it and you should know it since it is, and THAT my friends is a proof no one can take away from anyone.

Let's hope the community will change in a near future to the better, where only community related people are whithin and morons are in their own.

II've read the most in this thread i must say, it so much bullsh**.
First of all is that you and other claims you don't care about the community, which i can prove right here that it's not true.

You make mods and addons for free, with no credits except for us with servers that actually input the credits for the sake of the creators.

Secondly, i agree with that there are many morons around which always have to input comments and critics of the wors kind, and we can live without them so let's make a community for them where they can comment and make critics of each other.

And most of all, you guys have and are doing a really great work, you deserve more than this.
You are really good at what you are doing, and i really hope someone sees that who can actually give you credit for your work.

Im using the brute on my dedicated server, and i hope the shiver will be whitelisted so i can use that one too, since i only use whitelisted mods and im working on the credits list right now so it shows in a proper way when playing on the server so you actually know what and how you can play with these mods.

Keep up the good work and may the force be with you ^_^

Did the Stalker shrinkage get checked at all mate?

I have run several tests, and the ratio of stalkers to shivers seems to vary on a per-game basis. Are there any particular maps where you have noticed a shortage of stalkers? At the moment what happens is the shiver simply gets added to the wave list, rather than replacing anything, so I suppose that'd explain why a certain specimen may appear to be spawning less frequently. I could have it replace some of the clots on certain waves if necessary.
