How to prevent this thing?
Hey I have tried with this mutator on and everything works but I have a problem with it. The Shiver tends to be spawning too much and it tends to stop stalkers from spawning (so commando's have a real problem leveling).
Any chance of getting this changed?
Also I think he is a little too good for such a common specimen
if you stand near the trader door, The Shiver will also teleport inside the shop, so... can fix this? thx!

Ive seen this happening too, it teleports inside buildings or terrain sometimes and gets stuck. Maybe add some kind of timer that if he cant see a player or cant reach one he will automatically teleport to a random pathnode?

srry benji...but I personally think the shiver doesnt need updates. We achieved what we wanted...and what TWI originally wanted for the Brute. People can say what they want, but the Shiver is near perfect imo. It might even be better then the Brute. There always be map problems...but thats not up to the zed modders...like sie said. I mean...the Brute has much more map problems compared to the shiver.

Im glad I have found your forums then as I have been snooping around. I have been seeing some interesting and more personal side to your community. I feel the exactly same way about the mods that everyone makes these days specially you and the people you work with. You don't get the right respect and help you deserve as all I see is people trolling or just out right stupid. Sad to see you go mate (which is why I was trying to figure out your post time/date etc to see if it really was recent as you never posting on herehmm not really...but you will soon find out.
Balance is hard yes, but besides this I also play my mods more then people on this forum..cous it needs balancing offcourse. Your comment suggests we dont do the prepping and balance before we release it. Which is just not true.
We put allot of time in these mods and we do listen to you guys...just look at the Brute topic. But at some point your just pissing us off instead of adding constructive crit. (not pointed towards you in any sense, just the things we have noticed while posting stuff here)
Smiff beeing the ultimate example why we dont post our mods here anymore. As long as a community allows these figures on the boards, I dont see the need to post my mods here and rather have a community(my own) giving us feedback and adjusting the mod accordingly. I rather have my own members giving me crit. instead of having to deal with an ahole for 2 pages on the TWI boards.(not talking about you offcourse)
Were releasing a very large mod the next few weeks that will change KF for good.(and no...it doesnt have any aliens in it...as allot of you might think) I will post it here once its released. But I will keep things formal since it will be the last mod I produce. After that I will say goodbye to you all. Its time to move on.![]()
Can you please make the mutator not replace the Stalkers?This is the only reason I took it off my server even though I have modified the Stalker kill amount for Commando perk, it is still near impossible to do when the Shiver takes up the Stalkers spawning. This is the only specimen I have noticed the Shiver taking the spawns from.
personally i wish you'd keep the spawn rate high but lower health - i find having 3 shivers teleporting right next to me far freakier than 1 with high health. I can drill though him in a second, but if theres 3 chances are ones going to hurt me.

Im the sort of person who loves to help (sometimes too muchThe sad thing for us modders is that, there are people like you, bogospawn, flux and a few choice others, that we actually feel, do care about our work, you few individuals are the reason we continue with our current projects, its the reason I'm continuing with the Zombies mod, If my work can bring you few people fun and joy, it was all worth it.
Don't take any offence to this but this made me ROFL!The big problem we have, is that we have an overwhelming majority of idiots with god complexes here, they have their heads so far up the admins back holes, licking every nook and cranny, that they become untouchable, and the good people who actually contribute something worthwhile, are pigeon holed and are either forced to pack up and leave or take the abuse.
The rule enforcement is corrupt, the moderators of the forums are friends with the idiots, the idiots don't get the infraction that they deserve, and we can't do diddly sh!t about it.
So your asking why we have packed up and left the TWI forums, we act like we don't give a rats anus anymore? On the note of sounding like a b!tch, we feel slapped in the face mate, Tripwire Interactive as a company, who do have members monitoring these forums, should stand up and see that people are modding to keep their game alive, holy hell, we are doing them a massive favour, instead we get crapped on for all our efforts, and the good people suffer because we get to the stage where, we stop caring, because if we did care, we'd just get angry all the time.
So yeah, sadly you innocent few get taken out in the firing line with everyone else, but our backs are against the wall, we receive no support from the admins, so what do we do, we take control ourselves, you want us to care, you tell the people incharge, not us.
Until that day, we reluctantly adopt the attitude of, you get what your given, and if you don't like it, tell someone who gives a damn.
Yeah this is the only reason why I had to remove from my custom server (I don't use Sandbox as I haven't figured it out yet and still yet to try... - if anyone would like to teach me, be my guess!), so I use the mutator. I've actually lowered the Stalker kills requirement for Commando but it's a real pain when the Shivers were on as Stalkers pretty much stopped spawning. I have my server set on the difficulty Suicidal (so usually Stalkers aren't a problem for killing specific amounts) but Shiver made them spawn from about up to seven Stalkers (around 30 seconds) to the odd three Stalkers per four rounds. We actually did have a game where only two Stalkers spawned (I think in Offices) and this is with 12 players too.It's not actually meant to replace Stalkers; I'll have to look into why that is happening.
