The ROLadder.net OpeningCup will offer veterans and newcomers the competition to measure themselves with the best teams from NorthAmerica and Europe.

So sign up your team and
Join ROLadder.net NOW!
The first dedicated and tailor made competition site for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, with the history of being the most active location for competitive gaming since 2004 for all previous RO releases.

OpeningCup Details:

 • Start: January 16th 2012

Well, it doesn't make sense to start an OpeningCup 6 months after the release. We're just hoping that TWI implements the needed clanfeatures till then so we can start this baby.

I'm trying to remember.... Was it youz guys who ran that world competition back in the mod, when a few others and I formed up team Canada and half the team didn't even show up for the first match & never got any farther?

Or was that just some young 24 yo's baked gunja dream he had while playing RO:CA?

(that's right, same sense of humor as in the game since 2004)

I've been out of most of RO1's prime.

Yes, ROLadder hosted the NationsCups for the mod and Ostfront back in the days.

@GossamerSolid
Well, of course you can join the european ladder but in this case you'd commit to play all the matches on a european server only. Actually there are already quite a few NA clans signed up at ROLadder but somehow they're hesitating to join the competitions.

A little bit offtopic but anyway, we're currently in a need of a NA based gameadmin and a community manager. If you want to contribute to ROLadder.net go to this http://www.roladder.net/pages/jobs site and feel free to send us your application.

In all seriousness, it would be better to offer each players a prize, perhaps an in-game badge of sorts, similar to what Valve does with Team Fortress 2 events and tournaments. Perhaps you guys should talk to TWI about it, because it would be much more fun to give out a prize to the Top Three Teams, but also to each player who participates. And after all, there are only (to my knowledge) 3 DP-28 magazines to go out, SO, only 1 player from each of the top 3 teams gets 1. Just my 2 cents, if I can get enough guys from my clan to do this I will be signing up.

Quagmire, of course we'd like to offer something that we can hand out to the top3 team players and in fact we spend a lot of time to acquire sponsors and supporting partners for our competitions with the result that at least at the moment we found no one besides our serversponsor Branzone who wants to support competitive RedOrchestra gaming.

You need at least 6 players to participate, but of course it's recommended to have some more teammembers in case someone can't play on the scheduled matchdate.

Oh, understand I wasn't criticizing, I was merely making a suggestion, me and my clan would love to participate, and I am going to sign us up right now! (Or at least in the next few hours)

One question I had, my clan, while supporting the game, does not currently have a server we could use for matches, will one be provided, if so, where will it be located, I noticed on the Teams page we are one of the few US teams. Our team name is Rebels Without a Cause (RWC)

RO:Ladder currently has 3 16 player match servers. One in Frankfurt Germany, one London and the last one being Chicago. Clans will be able to book the servers for officials matches. We still need more clans to have own match servers though, so we won't run into shortcomings.
