Read the cover: "25 years of prosperity, freedom and a better environment for the whole world".

George W. B. shall remain (at least in my) memory as the guy who was in office when the economic collapse took place and who handed over not an inconsiderable amount of public money to the banksters (while almost on his way out, one might add), when two significant wars were started (involving the international community in some questionable actions) and government(s) gave green light to legally questionable interrogation methods, and finally as the guy who showed the Kyoto protocol the middle fingeur, so to speak. YMMV, though.

I don't know enough about the economic situation or banking, but these were bound to happen, it was just a matter of time. And what is wrong with questionable interrogation methods if they have prevented severe attacks from taking place? There have been attacks on a scale of 9/11 that were prevented because of interrogations like the ones taking place. And honestly, climate change is bull****. We can do more to respect the environment, definitely, but all in all, the guys behind the climate/green campaigns are the biggest crooks in human history.

From the few things I know about economics, I don't think the current situation was bound to happen no matter what and furthermore he could change the downward course of the US economy with some changes (very bold changes that is :p)

Contradict yourself much? :p
Crap, I didn't type it right (really, I'm not just changing my view). I meant to say:

I don't know enough about the economic situation or banking, but these wars were bound to happen, it was just a matter of time. Anything the Soviets touched turned to a big pile of @#$% and everyone gets dragged into it.

(I have an issue where sometimes when I'm typing, my brain goes faster than my fingers and I omit words. Sorry about that :\ )

Because Bush isn't exactly a proponent of freedom, prosperity and a better environment.

We elect a president to further the agendas of the US, not the world. He was a proponent to freedom, prosperity, and a better environment for the US. And if my opinion needs a citation, then I guess this does, too:

George W. B. shall remain (at least in my) memory as the guy who was in office when the economic collapse took place and who handed over not an inconsiderable amount of public money to the banksters (while almost on his way out, one might add)
