I've checked the "Can You Run It?" system requirements thing that a previous poster recommended, but it says that i won't be able to run it on "recommended" settings.

Anyone here that knows if this setup will work fine on RO2?

W7
AMD Athlon II x4 3,1 ghz (quad core)
XFX HD5670 512MB GDDR5
6gig DDR2

(That's what i currently have.)

But what if i buy this one (MSI Radeon HD67701GB)

Will there be significant change in performance?

Setup should be fine but graphics card might push it back a bit. I suggest overclocking cpu a bit if you have proper cooling and the 6770 would be a very little upgrade but I would save up a little more and get a 6850 but damn those AU prices are high!

Not really at the limit here, I think you should easily run medium to high graphics.

Nice overclocks btw... you are making me consider overclocking my GTX260
(What software did you use for overclocking the GTX does your temperatures look like ?

Thanks.

Use evga precision, msi afterburner or rivatuner for gpu,one time each not all same time :D You can to activate it or deactivate it,personally i run o.c. just to play not for everything else.

Temps. full charge in summer

Option 4 and for pit option 1. But why laptops?? I would only get a laptop if I have to. You know a better desktop is a about the same price and upgradable.

I was wondering if anyone could give me feedback as to whether my personal and work laptop would be able to run the game at medium settings. My desktop is good to go, but Im not so sure about my laptops.

-----Work Laptop-----

4 gb of pc2-6400 ram, Core 2 duo T9900 @ 3.1 ghz, nvidia quadro FX 770m (built on the 9600 gt-m)

-----Personal Laptop----

  • AMD Phenom II Quad-Core Mobile Processor N930 (2.0GHz, 2MB L2 Cache); 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM)
  • 15.6 inch diagonal HP BrightView HD LED Display (1366 x 768); ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics
For the most part they fit the minimum requirements, not sure how much I could push but hoping for medium details at reasonable resolutions. The work laptop goes to 1920 x 1080 but I doubt Id be able to run at that resolution.

If you buy a laptop you will always be bottlenecked by your GPU. So if you pcik a laptop for gaming the NR1 priority would be getting the best GPU you can find for your budget.

Hey I was wondering what you guys think about my specs.

I'm getting worried i might have to play on very low settings....
I pre-purchased already didn't even think about specs....

Intel Core 2 Quad q8200 2.33ghz
3gb Ram DDR 2 (I have 4gb i'm thinking about upgrading to W7 64 bit if it works)
Asus EN9800GT TOP 512mb
Asus P5B deluxe

I seem to manage running ARMA II on medium alright.... if that says something.

I have an Alienware M11x R2 edition (with the now outdated GT335M chip)
It can run many AAA titles really well for example dirt 3, metro 2033 and so on.

Your laptop should run RO2 very well :D
